Who listens to music while doing HW?

That’s the only way I can keep myself awake sometimes. I’m prone to making typos but I re-read my work so…

On occasion. Some classical or jazz is nice. Nothing with lyrics though, because I will start writing them down.

can’t do hw without music, haha. or some background noise.

Well, for papers I rather peace and quiet and for “traditional” homework I attempt during commercial breaks (or lulls in the T.V schedule cough Thursday).

However, I do most of my “traditional” homework during class or before it anyway.

yeah. I have background music on. Otherwise, I end up thinking about other things and wasting time…

which I am doing right now.

I always have music on. '90s grunge FTW!

I can’t listen to music and do homework/write at the same time. For example, I’m listening to music right now, and it’s taking a LOT of effort to type this post and not zone out to the music.

usually have music on. Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, sometimes Rush…

If it’s difficult hw, I like to listen to classical, but if it’s really easy, then I listen to pop music.

Sometimes I do; not when I’m studying, though.

I can’t. I analyze music while I listen to it, so doing hw is impossible.

Snoopyiscool, I never really thought about that, but I could see that being a problem.

I listen to music like all the time, so yes.

I can do light worksheets w/ music. But essays/crtiical thinking stuffs like that…I can’t concentrate w/ music.

depends. If its really pointless busywork that doesn’t count-I listen to bands I really like/sing along to lyrics REALLY loudly. Or watch television at the same time if it’s really like sorting papers, etc

If it’s annoying busywork that’s going to be graded-light indie music where I’m mostly just humming

If it’s a paper, NO MUSIC! /TV! Even though I totally just violated that rule and my first two paragraphs turned out baddd.

xD I only listen to music while drawing. :stuck_out_tongue: Not homework. -.-

i listen to music while doing busywork not requiring actual thought
if i’m doing calculus or physics or something and i actually need to retain infomation and concentrate, i can’t listen to music lol or i start singing and humming along…

No…I can’t listen to music without singing along, even if it’s in a foreign language and have no idea what I’m saying (although incidents of misinterpretation of such have had disastrous consequences in the past… :))

If I listen to music I start writing the lyrics, even if it’s while doing math.

I do if it’s something long and doesn’t require alot of thinking, such as AP Euro/USH outlines. or I’m filling out the identification on a take home APUSH test, which is on all of our outlines.

Then, it’s Woody Guthrie. Which is not very exciting at all. Or like, Arab pop.

Tchaikovsky. peacesign
