<p>Seriously, it’s depressing. One day, one of my parents forwarded this chinese “DRINKING COLD WATER CAN GIVE YOU A HEART ATTACK” email. And that is a total hoax. That isn’t it - of course - he also forwards all sorts of other stupid emails that are just as credible as any pseudoscientific hypothesis. </p>
<p>And what pains me even more is that I don’t want him to get senile or anything. I do really hope that he’s happy and that he lives long. But still, when he sends these kinds of emails, it really makes me skeptical. And it’s frustrating too snce it’s essentially impossible to explain the scientific method to anyone over 40.</p>
