why do parents forward annoying emails so much??

Seriously, it’s depressing. One day, one of my parents forwarded this chinese “DRINKING COLD WATER CAN GIVE YOU A HEART ATTACK” email. And that is a total hoax. That isn’t it - of course - he also forwards all sorts of other stupid emails that are just as credible as any pseudoscientific hypothesis.

And what pains me even more is that I don’t want him to get senile or anything. I do really hope that he’s happy and that he lives long. But still, when he sends these kinds of emails, it really makes me skeptical. And it’s frustrating too snce it’s essentially impossible to explain the scientific method to anyone over 40.

My grandpa does that… Ever since he retired he hasn’t used his e-mail for much else LOL

Hahaha, seriously, how do you guys even respond to those emails, if you ever respond to them at all? >.<

Funny thing is, that if they weren’t over 50 years old, then we’d probably get REALLY angry with them.

I don’t, my friends do similar things but usually with funny youtube videos. Which are often hilarious, so I will respond with a lol.

I just delete them, they’re usually mass forwarded, and at that point there’s no changing them, so just accept it and laugh at the stupidity of man.
