I’m an OOS student who just got into W&M RD. I was also offered the James Monroe Scholar opportunity. Here are my stats!
1540 SAT
4.0 unweighted GPA
9 APs, 2 honors
received a cypher postcard
lots of extracurriculars, including top 3 in the nation for debate

One of the best things about being a Monroe Scholar is that you can live in brand new dorm! Congratulations! Go Tribe!
Did it just get notification by email to check portal?
Congrats, my son also just received his acceptance with Monroe as well. We are in-state and he received the postcard.
Yes.
Our in-state kid received an email to check the portal and was admitted RD. ETA- they just noticed that it’s Monroe Scholar. (Reason they are notifying now)
ETA 2- did not receive cypher
D24 just got accepted as a Monroe Scholar as well. OOS and did not receive a postcard. This was such a wonderful surprise on a dreary Monday evening!
Did all RD decisions come out or just these Monroe Scholar ones?
The email D received said she was hearing early, so unfortunately I think everyone else has to wait a bit longer.
Only the Monroe notifications. I’m guessing RD will be out on 3/22. Maybe 3/29
My S24 also got the Monroe offer (and the dorm preference is a critical perk!).
I am pretty sure last year Monroe offers came out around this time but not the remainder of RD.

S24 got a Monroe Scholar acceptance today as well. He is OOS - also got a cypher postcard a while back.
Are there any previous or current admins on here? My D24 posted an update to all the amazing work she is doing and put it on the portal. Do you know if they get a notification or something? I don’t want to suggest she emails them to let them know if they are already going to get pinged. I know these guys are really busy. Also, I assume no one deferred from ED1 has heard anything yet.
RD decisions should come out around 3/22. That my best estimate based on past years. Only Monroe/1693 Scholars along with Cypher postcard recipients know their decision so far. I’m not an admin, but there would be a notification to staff that there is a portal update. It may or may not be reviewed based on when it is received.
