You aren’t admitted into the business school until at least sophomore year. WM admissions is just for the college. And OOS admits are tough. Only 28% last year.
You don’t apply to a major, you just share an interest area. So it’s just the normal admissions process.
Accepted. In state. 4.0UW/4.2W, TO, 10 APs, very strong ECs, good leadership, lots of volunteering. We are so thrilled!
fwiw, biz school is not direct admit
Does anyone know when I should expect an aid package?
WM has had its yield go up over the past couple of years. They are being cautious to not over admit. They will take some from the waitlist once May comes.
100% this. I believe about 100 or so students got off the waitlist last year so it’s definitely not a hard no.
S24 rejected. We are OOS.
S24 OOS Rejected.
You’ll never know if you don’t apply. Actually, his last school and his only rejection of the season.
My child didn’t get in. She’s disappointed but also glad the wait is over. Now she can focus on where she is going: VT! Congrats to all who were accepted.
S24 In state waitlisted. We were actually going into it thinking rejection, so from this vantage point, we’re pretty happy! (4.02W GPA, ~3.8UW, 1350 SAT, 12 IB classes, lots of EC) Looking seriously at Verto spring pathway. This was our last college to hear from, so decision time!! Good luck to all. You’re all winners.
In state waitlisted. 3.98UW/4.4 W test optional. S24 will not be accepting a spot on waitlist as this is not in top 3 choices at this point.
Accepted.
In state DS24 waitlisted. 4.2 wpga, 3.7 uw, 1440 SAT. Disappointed if not shocked- he’s taking a spot on the WL.
It’s been a rough year in-state…even though lots of OOS acceptances elsewhere
I feel like the instate pool is very deep this year. There should be some waitlist movement so good luck!
Thanks! Let’s hope so- he’ll send a LOCI in hopes it works out.
There is a great welcome video on instagram under wmadmission. Facebook, too. Congrats!
S25 rejected. OOS. He has good options though. Good luck to everyone!
it has absolutely been a tough year for instate VA applicants. Good luck!
Daughter was accepted. Oos, 4.0 unweighted. We will see what the aid package is. Leaning toward U of Richmond right now (I think).
