The Forbes 2025 rankings are out and Williams came in at Number 7, the articles notes: “Also in our top 10: “Little Ivy” Williams College in Massachusetts (#7), research powerhouse Johns Hopkins University (#8) and perennial public college stand-out University of California-Berkeley (#5). Five of the eight Ivy League schools are in the top 10 and all made the top 20.” A few years ago Williams was ranked #1 by Forbes.

And the US News 2026 ranking are out and Williams and Amherst are No. 1 and 2 respectively once again. Massachusetts schools do well with Wellesley and Smith in the Top 10:
