Anyone else having trouble with Words With Friends on their IPad or IPhone? I got a “Client Repair” message that told me my game needed to be restarted…did that…shut the whole IPad down to do so. Since then, it has been coming up…saying “updating games”, then says it’s “updates could take a few minutes”…then the game just shuts down. I went to look at the reviews on ITUnes and there are NUMEROUS complaints about the same issue.

I received a $1 credit from ITunes (mine is a purchased version…although my free version is doing the same thing).

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling…and that didn’t help either. From the reviews, it apparently didn’t help anyone else either.

My (paid)WWF did what you describe yesterday. It was much worse on the IPhone than on the IPad. I could not get the game to come up at all on the phone. Then finally I got the “client repair” message. It seems to have been okay today, but now that I think about it, I haven’t heard from many of my opponents. I thought they were just busy. Maybe it is still misbehaving.

And it displays games from up to 2 weeks ago and a bunch of “notifications”. I’d have to sit through them all and watch the last moves, and I do not want to do that.

This happened to me on my ipad, last night and this morning. Kept trying to update then shut down. This evening seems to be alright. I did not have this problem with my iphone.

Mine was doing it for a few days but only with one person I was playing so I’m not sure if it’s me or him??? I would just close out and reopen. This usually fixed the problem.

I had problems on my iPad yesterday afternoon and evening. After no new moves for several hours, I had a message that someone had sent me a message but it was just a blank screen. Nothing worked. I went to my computer and played a few words and then tried my iPad again. Still nothing. After rebooting my iPad, I finally got everything to work again. The message that started all of the malfunctioning was from my nephew who I think plays from his phone; he was having trouble making moves.
Not being much of a techie, is it possible that the huge success is overloading the system?

Mine, miraculously, started working just fine yesterday. I would have to say…it must be an APP problem, as I did NOTHING to fix it. Now some of my friends are having trouble with frozen games. My sister in law asked me to resign a game because hers is just spinning aroung…can’t do that…it’s HER turn and you can only resign when it’s your turn.

I looked on ITunes and read all the most unfavorable reviews (you can sort by this)…there are lots of complaints about this recent issue.

My only gripe is that I filed a “problem” with Zynga and it would have been nice to have gotten an automated response saying “we know and we’re working in it”…nope.

BUT ITunes was very responsive. They are actually refunding my 99 cents (I have the paid version)…I didn’t ask for that, they just did it. If they refund money to everyone who is having trouble with this game, they are going to be out a LOT of money.

I have had problems in the past, but nothing serious lately. One weird thing, though, is that the text boxes are all messed up. The text threads are all jumbled with each other, no matter what person or game.

I had problems yesterday afternoon on both my PC and netbook. It said error loading and retry, which I did several times to no avail. Went to my yoga class and when I came back it was working. Was quite happy because I felt like I was going through withdrawal.

On two of my games yesterday, it said the game started 15,348 days ago. If my calculations are correct, that was 42 years ago! I am pretty sure there were no iPads in 1960!
