Worst Dressed: When Ugly AND Expensive Meet

Cats rule the fall catwalk! Who on the great Earth designed this cat sweater?

can go nicely with these jeans:

Were these pants shredded by an angry cat to look so hole-y?

$1,395 for a pair of ugly jeans? Without the cat on them, they look fine, but I certainly wouldn’t pay that price. Goodness.

The sweater cat looks looks like it’s ready to relieve itself.

Mr. B had the same idea! He asked, “Where is the litterbox?”

I was typing the same thing!

Oh thank you for the laugh of the morning. Ugly meets Expensive. Both waiting for Stupid to buy them and make an ensemble.

A-ha, it is a cat conspiracy!

What’s up with the skirt in the first photo?

OMG
the placement of the cat on that skirt
!!!

The placement of the flames would make a pretty good ad for medication of a rather personal nature. Not sure what the dog is doing up there though.

Flaming feline crotch, what the heck?

Or is it a flaming canine crotch?

For some reason, a Nursery Rhymes song is now stuck in my head

The cat trend must be a major hit because even the wannabe designer houses like StyleWe are now offering cat-themed attire:

Not ugly at all, but Kate Spade has 2 cat themed bags.

The laser cat eyes from #286 are pretty astounding too.

Coco Chanel is puking in her grave. X_X

@bookworm - I think Kate Spade does cats the right way! I just bought one of her bags.

BB

Which one? Small or large, with the whiskers?

This is a great thread! I haven’t read all 20 pages, but does anyone agree with me that Eileen Fisher clothes are the pits? I"m 60 years old, 5’6", 118 lbs. I see her clothes in the dept. store and think to myself, “What kind of body is flattered by those sacs?” And the colors are so drab and dreary. I don’t know
most of my clothes are from the Gap, Banana Republic, a bit of J.McLaughlin and I do get complemented a lot on my “style”. I’m frugal and try for updated classics and NOT TALBOTS either!

^^Eileen Fisher’s company did $300 million in revenue in 2015, so somebody is wearing her stuff. She founded the company in 1984 and built it from nothing. While her clothing isn’t something that resonates with me stylistically, I do admire her for creating a very successful market for women who have a certain relationship with their clothing, which she does very well.

ETA: 35% of her clothing is made in the US, and she has several sustainable and recycling programs that revolve around her clothing. She’s a good egg.
