New to this thread, but it is awesome. Without it, I never would have seen those jeans with the plastic knees, much less known that “mom jeans” are now in style. =))
Those clear knees. Why? Why why why?
To showcase one’s wrinkly knee skin? :))
Imagining there must be a market, or they wouldn’t exist, I read the reviews. All jokes. One woman returned them because she couldn’t find a matching shirt with plastic elbow panels.
That caftan looks like something Aunt Gladys would have worn when she got out of the bathtub.
OMG – Read the reviews of those jeans! They’re hysterical! One example:
Or this one:
I like the caftan. Not my colors, and not my budget, but I like the style and would like it on someone else. I like it on the model.
It does seem to me you could find it something very similar a thrift store.
I wear caftans at home -fwiw. Just not pastel florals
Those jeans may be one of the few garments I’ve ever seen, that I can’t imagine anyone actually wearing.
Have they sold any anywhere? I am looking for street shots.
I saw those jeans come across my Facebook feed. My first thought was they were for cleaning companies – like something to wear when someone is scrubbing a floor. I just don’t get it.
@VaBluebird Oh man those jeans were great, don’t quite qualify as outrageously expensive, but so, so awful!
I can see fluttering about the house or pool in that caftan. But NOT with those hideous sandals!
The jeans with see-through knees…does anyone remember the movie with Ryan O’Neal and Mariagela Melato about jeans with clear panels on the posterior? Looked it up: So Fine, 1981.
Now I’m going to have to see all those personalized ads!! :-&
I was shopping for shoes and these came up–not sure why.
Ah, because you are surely a trendsetter!
They look orthopedic, only worse.
Wait – they’re $1,900!!! OMG.
Okay, who from this thread wrote this review
“Bought these to wear with my new clear knee mom jeans. Can’t wait for Bunko night!”
OMG - hysterical! Not me!
Hoping Nottelling will come back and explain these bags to us. I have been thinking about them for days.
Isn’t it a faux pas to refer to the artist as Da Vinci rather than Leonardo? I recall people complaining about that when The Da Vinci Code came out.
I think that the Sistine Chapel would have been a better choice. Mona Lisa does not look as if she is enjoying herself. B-)
See - maybe someone who has more understanding of Koons than I possess, which is just about zero, could comment on whether the naming is deliberate.
During my travels I have, rather unintentionally, acquired a collection of plastic museum bags with representations of paintings I love. I just about fell over when I saw the Vuitton collection. My bags aren’t artist designed. one does have the speedy shape.
Assuming price is no object, would you carry one?
