Wow, Harry and Meghan!

And I love Serena Williams’s outfit too.

Such eclectic group - amazing day, weather perfect - wonderful

Serena elegant in pink - Oprah ??? Not sure about her choice,( hbo show about Serena airing now - she looks much better today

teambeard for the win!

Givenchy

The dress is much more subdued than was speculated. I really like it.

She looks beautiful!

Love how the flourish is the total veil.
And that Tallis they just sang. My fav. DH was an Anglican choir boy/man.

Were Kate and Camilla just smirking ? William, too ?
Lots of glances just saw Fergie’s daughters- no doubt

Beautiful

Loved it in general, but the dress train seems archaic to me. So cumbersome, making it almost impossible for her to move about.

Loved the diversity in the ceremony!!

Her mother looked great too. Prince Charles chatted her up when they were standing there watching the couple walking down the steps. I wonder what he was saying to her.

Loved the dress!

I loved it all (with the exception of a few dowdy dresses, but that’s to be expected), but I completely lost it when I saw that Lady Jane had come out on the steps with the immediate family to stand in for Diana. It makes me cry again to think about it. I found it so sweet that Harry acknowledged his mother in various ways. The gospel choir was outstanding, IMO.

D & I texted throughout and we have named our best dressed list as the Queen, Camilla, Kate, Meghan’s mum, Carole Middleton, & Amal Clooney. Certainly some other good dresses, but those were our favorites. James Corden’s wife looked nice, as well.

Poor Prince George. I don’t think he likes these big events, and Charlotte seems to love them. William and Kate had their kids in the wrong order.

Also, I grew up in the Episcopal Church, and I don’t ever remember a priest – let alone a bishop – who could preach like that. When did Episcopalians become cool?

Instead of forming an opinion I tried to just watch and take it all in. At first I was a bit disappointed by her dress, and I was hoping she’d wear the same crown as Princess Di. It has grown on me as I think about it. What I took away from it, was it really was Megan’s wedding. It’s certainly not a life I’d choose, though I’d take a ride around in the carriage!

And how can you not admire Kate for wrangling all of those children by herself?! They were precious. I had my own George and Charlotte - quiet older boy, outgoing younger sister. They’re absolutely adorable. He’s the future king, I suppose it’s appropriate he’s not a wild crazy one. And as they grow up, the focus will be on them, not on Harry and Megan, unless they take the spotlight somehow. I’m curious what Megan and Kate think of each other.

Elton John seemed a bit peeved, not sure if I was just reading into that. I enjoyed the bishop immensely and all of the music. I was married in a Catholic church and we were not allowed secular music in the church, but that was 25 years ago.

Okay - another thought. The set up of the church meant there were whole lot of guests sitting in the room beyond where they were getting married that would not be able to see the altar. That would be a bummer as a guest, to be so close, yet not be able to see what was going on.

That was awesome. I cried when those little boys picked up her veil, I cried when William and Harry exchanged stupid grins (your Mum would be so proud), and cried when the congregation sang God Save the Queen like they’d never get the chance to do it again. I love weddings. And Kitty Spencer’s dress – the green one with the flowers painted on it. And David Beckham! and there was a guy in a kilt!

The Brits have their problems, but man, they are good at tradition and spectacle. Health and happiness and long life to the happy couple

I was blown away by the gospel choir and the US priest!! Wow! Great ceremony–beautiful, happy couple.

I can’t believe nobody here has commented on the similarity between Pippa’s dress and an Arizona iced tea can.
