Just wondering if any OOS students have found out yet whether they received WUE from Oregon State for class of 2028? thx

Just as a data point for you:

Last year, my son received his WUE notification on 12/14, about a month after he received notification that he was admitted to OSU. We are in CA.

My daughter didn’t get a notification (or it went to spam) but she logged into her portal and saw that she got it. I can’t remember what day but it was around this time.

We are OOS and received confirmation we were awarded the WUE scholarship. We tuned into the webinar hosted last night and it was mentioned those awards would be going out this week.

My son received his acceptance on 2/23. We couldn’t find mention of WUE. I called the office today and she said he did get WUE and where to find it. I have to wait for my son to get home as I cannot find the sign in that portal. Does anyone know how much the WUE is at Oregon State?

I believe it is 1.5 times in-state tuition and dependent on # of units taken in any given quarter. My neighbor is a freshman at Oregon State and is taking some gen ed classes at the local junior college so the actual dollar value of her WUE is less because it’s tied to the actual number of units she is taking at Oregon state. This will change in the future if she takes more units. Not sure if I explained that very well!

You will see a WUE estimate in the award.

But the precise amount is 150% of in-state resident tuition for every on-campus credit a student takes.

The WUE does not apply to online classes, but online tuition is slightly lower than WUE tuition for out-of-state students (and slightly higher for in-state resident students).

It usually works out to be about $5,000/term or $15,000/year for many students.
