I just checked last year’s group and there were three current students that posted (March 18, 19, and 20 respectively). The first admitted student post was march 22nd (me!), So they posted 3 days before decisions were out.
Whaaat. I think it has always been April 1 on that page. I really saw March 23 on the first page of my YNC application when I was still doing my application. But there are still no results yet.
HAHAHAHAH we are all doing so much deductive reasoning this is so funny.
@BTMmors I’m like 90% sure it said 23rd March a while ago - I made sure to write down these dates.
Anyway 1 April is likely if not today
well I gotta go to sleep so if it’s not out in another 25 minutes I’m heading out.
I suspect it’s going to come out right when I give up waiting though. That’ll be sad.
A friend of mine who studies in YNC told me her roommate (who is a part of the admissions committee) said the results are coming out this week. However, the roommate was also not sure when exactly, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there really is a delay and decisions come out on the 1st.
Also the FB group is private - have y’all joined it?

Maybe someone’s just trying to draft the acceptance email before they send it. Or some last minute bug? In normal circumstances it was almost certainly today but obviously circumstances nowadays are hardly normal. Heck, maybe someone from the office is reading this and going “kids at CC are freaking out right now. Hurry up!”

@sumguy My application wasn’t complete and so, I did not get an interview. Also, I am in India, so I don’t know if there are alumni here.
@aarybalkar you haven’t gotten your decisions yet either? If not I think at this point we can assume it’s not today. At least, not right now.
@sumguy I was shortlisted too! Also I like your theory, I am pretty sure the admissions officers know about these threads (or at least the students who are also involved in the admissions process, they were probably going through the same thing at some point :D)
Not sure if this is significant, but last year around this time the website that @blrcollegekid24 mentioned also said the decision notification was at April 1st, but then decisions came out at March 22nd, so it may not be indicative of anything.
In my limited experience the april 1st date is completely meaningless. YNC, and also many other schools, just put that date out there as a generic catch all date that gives them wiggle room if they don’t release, say, by march 23.
Edit: Side note though, that “welcome to Yale NUS college” title at the top of the page should be reserved for AFTER people actually get in…
