Hey man! Has anybody gotten an outcome? I’m getting pretty anxious. However, based on previous years I think that the decisions will be released on either the 20th of March or 23rd of March. All the best everyone!

And HAHA my school has officially suspended classes and moved to online learning after a quarter of the school not showing up today. Singapore’s getting pretty hammered by corona 
Does anyone know if Yale-NUS will send out an email informing us that the decisions will be released soon?

I heard that YNC have cancelled some summer programs, too.
Do you guys think our year would have to matriculate later due to the situation?
@surejen No idea… But at this point, really anything is possible. The situation is changing on a day by day basis.
@Naldo111 Actually, one year, (can’t remember if it’s class 2022 or earlier) they sent out an email saying decisions were being finalised to applicants that did it through the Yale app. But every year, the post on Instagram the day before.
@surejen I don’t think so. Singapore is doing relatively well, to an extent that the number of cases isn’t increasing exponentially and YNC isn’t actually shut down. In China, it’s getting better and people are starting to go back to work. I think that it will die down by the middle of summer, esp if the virus isn’t heat-resistant. In any way, those seriously affected will be Western countries, Asian countries are doing fine. Don’t stress out about that, I’m doing the job for both of us ^^
I realised that they only posted for the year 2018 and before. They did not post any Instagram post in 2019! Whether if they will this year
@ttplucas Wait, no, they did. They used to have a separate admissions account @yalenusadmissions, and they posted on that page in 2019 the day before results were released. It’s no long active now, but the post is still there if you wanted to see. They’ve now merged everything onto the main Instagram page. I’m pretty sure they will post something this year on the main account. If they don’t then it’s gonna be a nice surprise in your inbox!

Do you guys think the delay in Round 2 applications will delay the decisions? They still have not posted anything about offers
@ttplucas I think the extension of the deadline possibly will delay the decisions for Round 1 but hopefully not.
It will be great if they give us a nice surprise by releasing the decisions tomorrow.
@ttplucas @Naldo111 An extension usually just means that they want more students to apply, which doesn’t necessarily have a connection to their processing speed and thus their readiness to release results. So, I don’t think a delayed deadline is a predictor of delayed decisions.
That being said, I do think COVID slowed them down regardless of whether or not they issued that extension for round 2 deadlines, so tomorrow is pretty unlikely. Probably next week?
@spinachbrain211 the decisions being released next week is possible too I supposed. On Monday the 23rd of March. I wonder if they will be posting anything on the yalenuscollege Instagram though!
I have a feeling that they will release it on Friday (tmr). This will give international students more time to prepare their arrival to SG as well since the current virus situation can create delays and inconvenience in travelling. Furthermore, YNC has released a school tour video on IG just a day ago which I feel coincides with the release of results (take it as the post with regards to the offers?)
