My name says it all. I finally get to buy pink for our first grandchild, a GIRL!

I love cats. Notice my picture. Anyone remember Morris the cat?

We are fans of the comic strip “Pearls Before Swine”. One daughter likes the Zeebas. I’m really more like Rat.

Lol, zeebamom! I love that comic strip, too!

Joined CC when S1 was a riding HS junior. That’s when we started CountingDown to launch!

Mine is so obvious. Like others I would have made it more neutral if I had known how long I would be here.
But happy! to still be here.

@my-3-sons >>My name says it all. I finally get to buy pink for our first grandchild, a GIRL!<<

Congrats!! Enjoy the MUCH larger girl-baby-areas in the stores!

Mine is a play on my maiden name. Like so many others, I never imagined I would still be here so many years later!

I copied Post #42’s naming convention when I joined!

@wis75

Go Bucky!

Similar to Onward and CD, part was that I joined when D1 was a first semester soph in hs. I didn’t mean looking forward to having her out of the house, it was more about “looking ahead.” Both girls have now graduated college, but I’m satisfied with the name. After all, as a parent, I spent all those years looking ahead, hoping to get both girls safely and sanely to young adulthood.

The other part is harder to explain. No matter how we sometimes present ourselves on an anonymous forum, what we fret over IRL, or today’s hassles to get through, a big part of me is positive and I like to “look forward.” Hope is good.

Grew up in PA and have lived in Texas, Australia, New York and now the Midwest for the past 5 years. Not quite sure what I’ll do if we move again! The 3 was a random digit because MidwestDad was already taken.

His Royal Son-ness…the prince:)

I had a big magnetron magnet sitting on my desk when I was trying to think of a name for CC. Old school analog electrical design is my career.

@bajamm I figured it had something to do with Baja, Mexico. The other one that always caught my dyslexia was ellemenope - I thought it odd that Ellen M. Pope would use her whole name.

There were lots of “mom” screen names when I signed on. If I had known I’d still be on cc after all these years, I would’ve been more creative. And yes, I am “little”.

Well after reading all of these comments, I guess I should have been more creative. Ronnie is my middle name.

I have a habit of calling my children by outrageous nicknames. Shoo Shoo Bunny, Roo Dear, Snippity-doo-Da, and Zoosermom is an iteration of one of the nicknames for my oldest. There is a zoosergirl and a zoosermom, but not a zoosersister or zooserbrother (you will know him as the PBK - the PreciousBabyKing).

Oh. I always thought it was a character, maybe a play on Zuzu in “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

Unfortunately, mine is a variation of my name, which I wouldn’t do again. Although, on the other hand, I have nothing to hide.

(Or do I???)

Snippity-Doo-Da sounds like it could also be a song to sing during a vasectomy.

^ I cringed.
