Is there any rhyme or reason as to who they give decisions to in waves or is it random?
Currently anxiously awaiting a decision tonight! Anyone wanna guess my odds?
• GPA- 3.51 (3.95 junior year but did poorly freshman year so I know the GPA is below average)
• SAT- 1370
• OOS (NJ)
• ECs- chem club, DECA, girls who code, track & field
• ~ 90 hours volunteer work
• I wanna major in CS and am currently in AP CS A, took honors CS last year

Does anyone know if this round will be primarily hight stats only? do you think any of the 50% range will get in?

ECs- Varsity swimming (captain), spirit club, students against destructive decisions, tutor
150+ volunteer hours
Planning on majoring in communication
Any idea on my odds? I know my GPA and SAT are on the lower end but I am hoping for a good result!!
Just called at 4:40 and they are not releasing tonight.

I don’t know what to believe anymore
My son applied to 7 schools has heard from 6, except Ohio State. I sure was hoping there would be some news tonight. This process seems very slow in comparison. And yes he applied to 2 other huge schools and heard very quickly.
Well, certainly they will release decisions in next two Fridays (before Christmas)!
OSU says on their website, “To arrive at the most appropriate admission decision, we thoroughly review each application and all submitted materials.”
“We don’t select applicants based on any single criterion. All criteria are considered as part of our review of the whole person.”
I believe that they are doing what they promise to do.

Rumor on Campus is next round will be Friday 12/13
Based on years past, they usually make these announcements in the middle of December after the November announcement. Also, keep in mind that more applicants were admitted in the November wave than the usual number.
My daughter has heard from 4 large schools and two others have given a specific date when every EA applicant will hear at once. The set date makes for a lot less anxiety and it gives the schools plenty of time to do holistic reviews. I wish OSU would make this experience less of a roller coaster ride.
So December 13th?

Got email today stating D20 got admitted to Honors college at tOSU. Anyone else? There was no mention of any scholarships though.
Received honors admission email last night.

Congratulations on the Honors admissions! I like the way you quoted your acceptance posts. Sounds like Honors may have been the only decisions released yesterday.
