Amazing Race 27

That Speed Bump seemed the equivalent of another U-turn since both of them had to do the task, one after the other. I agree that the Speed Bump was probably the most time-consuming one they’ve ever had.

A race to the finish line mat in view of the Taj Mahal! How will next week’s India Part Two Episode top that?

Wasn’t that beautiful?

My ds is studying abroad in India right now, and I was so excited to see the places he’s been and the things he’s done. Last week, he was in the Delhi airport and at the Taj Mahal, and he rides a rickshaw just about every day.

I heard that the show stays in Agra. There is so much there, such as the Red Fort.

I wish they’d explained why the guy was giving shaves in the garden. Ds has taken to getting those razor shaves while there. I could never do that.

Yes, that was an unfortunate speedbump but chances are that they wouldn’t necessarily have had a much better finish anyway. I know a lot of people don’t like Justin and Diana, but they are excellent racers and I have to admire that. They are far better than any other team this season which can make for a less exciting show. Even with a near three hour lead to begin this leg, and everyone catching up for the flights, they still won the leg handily. I didn’t like how the cheerleaders lied about having u-turned Justin and Diana on an earlier leg, and the stupid paparazzi didn’t challenge them at all, which ended up in putting the pressure on themselves. That made no sense.

The unemployment rate in India has to be close to 80% judging by the crowds watching the teams. Props to Justin who can ride a bike through anything.

Intriguing scenes for next week’s episode.

There might be a four-team final leg like last season?

Fun leg! You gotta give credit to the paparazzi, or at least Logan, who seemed to be dragging Chris the whole way, for completing the U-turn. Looking forward to next week!

AAAAAGGGHHHH!! I can’t believe the Green Team made it after all that drama! I was sure that the girls were going to come running down that pier while Jason and Diana cried their eyes out in the penalty box. That’s got to be the most suspenseful episode ever. I’ll be so disappointed if they win the whole thing – he’s just insufferable.

Great episode. Go Green Team!

Imagine those who were at the mat live–had to listen to Jason cry for the ENTIRE 55 MINUTES!!

I was hoping the cheerleaders would make it before the penalty ended. I can’t believe how many times Krista swam near the goldfish without finding one.

Why couldn’t she have found the goldfish sooner? Ugh!! Jason is such a crybaby! I really don’t care for the paparazzi, but at this point are rooting for them over the green team.

Maybe Krista had her eyes closed each time she dove into the water from the platform? That would have been a good time for her to open her eyes and look around and see where the fishes were since she had to be close to them. Didn’t she have to wear a lot of makeup too?

Justin didn’t study his clue very well. He let the “savior” talk him into taking the wrong ferry boat. You simply show the clue to the local person or read it to him so he can help you do the right thing. The second place team are the sleepers in the finals. They seldom bicker and work well together. I think it comes down to which team member has to do the last one or two tasks. There should be a memory task at some point. A humbling third-place finish might have been the best thing to happen to the cocky green team.

The cab driver for one of the other teams (I can’t remember which one) also told them that there was a ferry terminal in Kowloon, but they told the cabbie that they had to go to the Hong Kong terminal. Justin was just willing to take the quicker route since he assumed they were behind at that point.

Justin gloats when he’s winning, and when he’s losing he bawls and whines and berates his fiancee. I hope she reconsiders the engagement after she sees this episode. He’s a loser at life, even if he wins the million dollars. How gracious, mature, and mutually supportive the cheerleaders were by comparison! If only the other teams had realized that the Green team was in trouble, I’m sure they would have helped the cheerleaders figure out what was going wrong with the diving challenge. They must be kicking themselves that they missed the opportunity to rid themselves of their biggest competition.

I thought it was odd that the other two teams had to wait around and watch Justin wail. They must have been exhausted and didn’t deserve that.

The reporters - the team that is always in second - have conducted themselves so well. I wish they had more coverage as I don’t feel as if the viewers have gotten to know them very well. I can’t stand the non-stop bickering of the paparazzi team. Green team? Annoying - but I wonder about the editing as they appear so one dimensional. I think winning the AR means a lot to Justin besides the money and this is making him act a bit obnoxious.

Raise you hand if you cannot stand Justin’s “heh heh heh” laugh.

I felt so awful for the cheerleader who couldn’t find the fish. I wondered if she had some fear of going under the wate or under deep.

I, too, felt so sad for her! I can’t open my eyes underwater. I wonder why they didn’t give her goggles.

I think Justin is a jerk. I will be disappointed if the Green Team wins.

I like the reporters best. I’m hoping they win it all.

I finally went back and watched the wedding episode. Ds went to an Indian wedding last weekend and now wants to ride a horse into his ceremony. Goober. But it does look fun.

When he was in HS we would watch together. I told him that when he gets home that I’m going to make him watch the two India episodes. Did you notice how scared the girls-only team seemed? Ds and I have talked about the women in his India program and how they are having a different experience than he is.
