Me neither. I have to say that I have found this season to be very disappointing.
I will not be at all surprised if Trent wins. They certainly are setting it up that way. I don’t like his voice and I find it difficult to watch him sing.

^^ Agree 100%
The judges can hype and give standing O’s all they want to these final 4, but even that doesn’t seem to be convincing enough people to embrace them. Not one cracked the top 200 in the iTunes rankings for their performances-- over the past 2 plus weeks. La’Porsha has made dreadful song choices of late, IMO, and seems to be losing her momentum. Of the 4 remaining, I like Trent the least.
Last week (3/24) was the first week they recorded and released an iTunes song for this group -they could only choose one to record - so I wouldn’t put a lot of faith in those rankings because probably many people didn’t know that “a” song was even available since they haven’t done it the rest of the season.
Here is some info:
"There is good news for American Idol fans who have been looking for iTunes studio recordings from the contestants. Rick Barker, the social media consultant who has been helping the singers promote themselves online confirmed in a Periscope chat (click on part 2) that the Top 5 will enter the studio in the next two days to record ONE of the songs they are set to perform on Thursday. He said it would be a song of the contestant’s choosing.
A fan asked if prior songs would also be released, which Rick couldn’t answer. But common sense people. The contestants have not been stockpiling recordings. If the recordings existed, they would already be out there. And of course, there is no time to record old songs. And there apparently isn’t the money either. When asked why Idol waited until the Top 5 to release recording to iTunes, Barker said last year songs from earlier weeks in the season did not sell."
In other news, I have been following Dalton on Twitter and last night he started following me back - random cause it doesn’t look like he does that as a rule!
As a result of that, now I have several other “Dalton” fan twitter accounts following me - haha! My Twitter is mostly work related so I think they will all be highly disappointed!
abasket, In an earlier week, iTunes DID have one or two performances make the top 200. That’s why I mentioned this. So, I guess we won’t have to wait long to see how well they do on iTunes in future weeks will we?
Yeah, I hope when this season is done and over with, maybe Ryan Secrest or someone will be willing to talk about this shortchanged season (in so many ways!) and why they did it - shortchanged for the contestants, the viewers, iTune-ers, etc. !!
As everyone knows, the show has never been the same since Simon Cowell’s departure. Then he moves on to become involved with X Factor, a complete disaster. I’m betting Ryan wished he had moved on a few years back. He didn’t need the money.
There has been no mention of Simon Cowell this season. I wonder if he will be back for the finale?
I had heard earlier in the season he might make an “appearance”- maybe at the finale.
So now that Mackenzie is available, can he please marry one of my daughters?
What a nice, nice guy. I was almost sobbing at his hometown when he was on the basketball court making those shots and at the hospital.
Not done here yet, but I am REALLY over La Porsha and EVERY big, big tune.
I don’t think he’ll take it, but I have to root for Dalton now! The best thing about tonight - he looked genuinely HAPPY on the stage. <3
I am really like Trent right now, great song for him, so over La Porsha. Dalton is a sweetheart.
I’m hoping it’s:

^^^^^
For you @jshain!
I know it’s early, but right now, with the show 30 minutes over… iTunes ratings
188 MacKenzie Bourg Hallelujah
211 Trent Harmon Drink You Away
245 Dalton Rapattoni Dancing In the Dark
1208 La’Porsha Renae Stay With Me
Edited: I guess they leave up all 4 contestants for voting for West Coast viewers…
^^^^^^ Weird, for sure
abasket, Hallelujah is a very popular song. Your cat could meow it and probably get ranked in the top-200. Let’s see the numbers tomorrow. Maybe I’ll “eat my words” or maybe I’ll say “told you so”! The show hasn’t started yet here on the west coast. I don’t have cable or satellite TV (considered “cool” here in the S.F. Bay Area), so will watch it tomorrow on Hulu.
I’ll give you that ! However, I would also say that a lot of AI watchers would say "oh no! Not Hallelujah again! "
I love the song but that is exactly what I was thinking!
