So the website for admitted students is visible to anyone if you google for it…
But they 100% shouldn’t be putting it in portals like that if you haven’t been in admitted…
I am honestly 75/25 that this IS a bad glitch. Time will tell…

My kid’s portal shows the same. New calendar, and “Congratulations on your admission" if you click to register for an event. If she doesn’t get in, after this, she might seriously have a nervous breakdown. Lawrd.

I think for the sake of everyone’s nerves we should pause discussion of this. Especially since EA comes out in three days, worrying over the technicalities of a website will do nobody any good.

Well, I logged into my kid’s portal and in the calendar it also shows an event for admitted Lincoln Scholars students, and I thought, “wow, maybe this is an indicator after all!” Because she did apply for Lincoln Scholars (“Congratulations on being accepted into our unique Lincoln Scholars Program!” it says.) But then I noticed there are also RSVP-able events for Public Health Scholars and SOAR, which she didn’t apply for, so it seems clear this calendar isn’t tailored to a specific student. I wouldn’t characterize this as “worrying over the technicalities of a website,” I’d call it an ooopsie by the university that could confused and disappoint applicants, and frankly I’d rather crowd-source the knowledge that it’s just a glitch, and be able to manage my kid’s expectations.

I meant discussion speculating over whether or not this is a “sign” or a “glitch” that should be paused. Simply talking about its existence is important for the reasons you said, but that discussion has been exhausted at this point. I’ve seen stuff like this happen for MANY admissions cycles, and the only thing that comes from it is parents driving themselves (and their students) mad by wondering what it all could mean when in reality its more than likely an IT error and you’ll know the admissions decision in three days (if they applied EA).

My kid’s portal does not show any admitted student days on the calendar in her portal. Though not necesarily a reach for her, she has not interacted with the school or visited, so would not be at all surprised if she is rejected or deferred. Good luck to those who have the admitted days on the calendar! It seems it could mean acceptance!

Nope, no admitted days on her calendar. Only “Undergraduate Admissions Information Session & Tours”. It’s OK … She applied since she has a sibling at Georgetown. Could be nice to have 2 in DC

The admitted events are still on my portal as of now
Son still sees them and some new ones were added for the scholars programs.

I am so nervous for my kid today! More so than other schools we have waited on… Kid doesn’t have a clear first choice at this point, so not that.
I think it is because I feel like I would love it there

SAME! My son is below their average on GPA but above their avg SAT and great everything else (IMO). Plus he visited, interviewed and watched a webinar over the past year. I just feel like this is the place for him. Have since the beginning. He’s playing it close to the chest though, so not sure of his thoughts in relation to other places he applied. This next week is also decision time for our 2 local possibilities. So really, I would be really happy if he got into any of the 3 and just one is all I ask to make the blows not so bad if there are any. Such a looooong month!
