<p>I am sorry to hear that about War Horse. The book for young adults AND adults is wonderful. Michael Morpurgo is one of my favorite authors for children. He wrote the book thirty years ago.</p>

<p>DH and I saw War Horse this week on my brother’s recommendation. There was def. sad parts that pulled at your heartstrings but I wouldn’t say it was depressing. We liked it.</p>

<p>We saw The Descendants (George Clooney) two weeks ago and thought it was great.</p>

<p>Our family went to see War Horse while both “kids”, age 25 and age 19 were home.
It was a great family compromise. We all liked it.</p>

<p>(At least one of us had no interest in “Mission Impossible”…:))</p>

<p>Heard the Elmo guy interviewed on NPR. The documentary sounds very interesting. (Will have to wait for Netflix to see that.)</p>

<p>We did a new Netflix subscription (and maybe will cancel after kids are gone). Tonight we downloaded an classic, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. None of us had seen it, and we liked it.</p>

<p>I have a picture on my wall of my London born Grandad sitting atop his war horse. The photo was taken during WWI in France. He carried a lance into battle and that has always fascinated me. I can’t wait to see the movie this weekend.</p>

<p>No, it’s not told by the horse. I’ve forgotten, but it may have been told by a teenager, the horse’s second owner. On second thought, there was no narrator.</p>

<p>No, the movie is not told by the horse. I have to say the horse was a great actor though.
DH and I agreed after the movie that the horse must have had a fantastic trainer.</p>

<p>I am only asking since the book is told by the horse. It was different altogether. But I will see the film when we get it in January.</p>
