Drew from Survivor 45 is going to be on Jeopardy - June 19.
I canāt stand students of the game. A lot of people loved that NASA kid a few seasons ago, but I thought it was just too much - seriously, using a 3D printer to get a leg up?
Did anyone else watch Drew on Jeopardy last night?
Nope, how did he do?
He won, defeating a 15 day champion.
Dang, now I want to see it!
I am looking to watch an earlier season of American Survivor. I donāt think I started watching Survivor until season 20 or so. I have watched season #1.
Anyone have a recommendation for a favorite season??
So, seasons 2-19?
Excluding the OG Borneo, the best seasons are arguably within the 30-40 range. But pre-20, watch Pearl Islands, Marquesas, Palau, China, Cook Islands
Correcting myself. Maybe it was more like 30 when I came in. I think Joe Anglim was on his second run.
OK. Then also add Cagayan, Caramoan, Heroes v Villains, Blood v Water
Drew fans/Jeopardy fans. Really interesting podcast interview with Drew about his experience on Jeopardy. Good listen.
Just read an article (CinemaBlend) featuring Rupert Bonehamās thoughts on Survivor and the changes the last few seasons. One of the take-aways is that with the shortened 26 vs 39 days the producers seem to be picking more āpersonalitiesā as opposed to those who would actually be able to survive in the wilderness. And, the shortened season means more emphasis on game play vs actually seeing relationships develop.
I was watching an old season a few days ago and miss some of the nuances of island living for 39 days.
Coming soon!
Just googled the supposedly 24 year old contestant (Sue Smey) - sheās actually 59 (it was kind of obvious). Lots of mistakes in that story, unless there really are three sports reporters.
Didnāt look at the cast but ALWAYS up for another Survivor season!
BTW, an ENORMOUS āTHANK YOUā to @skieurope who recommended season 7, Pearl Islands as a past Survivor season for me to watch this summer. I did not join Survivor as a fan until something like season 20 or so. Had watched the first season years later.
Season 7 is EPIC with a capital ALL letters. OMG. From the first episode to the very end. The cast, the simplicity but awesome challenges, the twists and turns, so, so EPIC.
I did not know the results before hand so it was fun to be spoiler free. The cast is the definition of ācast of charactersā. Just wow. I loved it so so much. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy, captivating watch or rewatch. All seasons are available on Paramount Plus.
Most if not all of the CBS season premieres are in October. Glad someone noticed Survivor was starting up a month earlier.
Link doesnāt work, but hereās two others:
Representing Australia will be George Mladenov, Shonee Bowtell, and Kirby Bentley.
Iāve seen all seasons of Australian Survivor and these are three great, if controversial, players.
Paramount confirms that castaways from Survivor South Africa, Norway, and New Zealand will make up the International tribe.
Iāve also watched all seasons of South Africa and New Zealand, and particularly for South Africa, there are some tremendous past players. I donāt speak Norwegian, so Iāve not watched any of their seasons to give commentary.
The bad news: supposedly the season is 15 days long, which is particularly disappointing since the AU seasons are usually 47 days.
