She’s done several interviews and stated that factored into her decision. Of course, she also swears to have kept a very close eye on Cedric after telling him and she insists he never had time to tell Chrissy or Mitch - given the vote, that doesn’t seem likely.
No surprise this week but interesting that Shauhin’s name came up. A bunch of physically very strong guys; obviously among those not so strong, time to thin the herd.
We did get a little tired of watching the stuntman flexing and admiring himself during the challenge. Obnoxious.
I wondered how Jonathan would have fared vs this group of physically gifted players.
DH & I didn’t.
To each his own, I guess.
See now, as a man, if I commented about how much I enjoyed ogling some woman’s body, some would brand me as an objectifier, a pig, a typical man, etc., etc.
I know you meant your comment in jest but, speaking generally, it bothers me when men are categorized as brutes, et al, when they comment, often crudely, on a woman’s appearance, but a woman can almost literally drool over some guy’s physique and are not called out in the same way.
Instead of hoping men would act more with more class, society has accepted women acting more crassly.
Again, not attacking your joke, but making a general comment.
I didn’t, actually.
You know I’m a dude, right?
There’s a continuum; the only options are not saying nothing or being a perv.
I don’t think anybody here meant they were ogling the stuntman’s body. I think they were amused (or not) by the stuntman’s posturing and smack talk.
Back on topic. Interesting how Mary is now the only one left from her tribe. I wonder how that will play out. Will she be the next victim or will the others be courting her to get her vote.
Thank goodness Sai is not on the jury - that would be a huge mistake. Though interesting that her and Cedric go out on the same night.
I want to know what happened that they decided to let go of Cedric - largely not a threat and to keep Shauhin.
I think Cedric had some residual issues from his epic fail on the earlier challenge and he lied a couple of times and was looked at with some mistrust. Shauhin is a pretty strong player and leader and I think he’s got enough social capital to keep on for a bit longer. But I agree, he’ll be a target before others like Joe, David, Eva.
Well, Chrissy went home because she was a bad player. Her idea was good, let’s get Joe, but she couldn’t deliver on it in any way. I don’t think she even really tried to get people to side with her.
I think Mary is a whole lot stronger/craftier than I initially gave her credit for. She might make it to the end.
Chrissy: open mouth, insert foot.
David is really starting to annoy me. He’s not only very strong, but very pushy. Does t like not getting his way.
I’m so glad Joe got to eat! ![]()
Early in the season, I was following her on Instagram (maryzheng). Her real life personality is nothing like what they are showing on TV. Either it is the editing or she is a great actress.
How so??
Well, David messed up his game and his alliance by dragging in Mary. No idea why he did that. She was not part of the strong people group. I guess it speaks to Mary’s social ability. Joe had his pal Eva in the strong group from the beginning. Kyle is working hard to edge in Kamilla, but doing it subtly and strategically, which David did not do with Mary. Always gets interesting when the core alliance starts turning on itself. Shakes up the game.
Surprised Eva flipped, but seeing her discomfort at Tribal I figured David was toast.
David got too bossy. Basically he was saying “Mary is now in the group and she says Kamila so we are voting Kamila, if you don’t agree you must not be trustworthy”.
I am glad Mitch survived I really like him.
