I am in a Survivor group but it is a blind draw. I have Annie, Alex and Shannon. I think Annie is on thin ice. I can’t believe Alex did the puzzle so fast and then couldn’t find the wheel! How unlucky!! I struggle with who is who the first few episodes and then when they were completely covered in mud during the challenge it was even more difficult. So far looks like it will be a fun season.

Right. I don’t want to know the names. I just want to know if they are already out there. I think they finished filming S50 three months ago. There was only a couple of weeks between finishing filming S49 and the beginning of filming S50.
Alex got impatient. He should have kept digging deeper in his original location. He was all over the place.

I’m still trying to learn names and faces. Too many to focus on any one player for me just yet. No one really stood out to me in the first episode.

Not sorry to see Annie go. Girl seemed clueless to think that she could just control her tribe.
Enjoying the season though I have to say there are like 4 guys who look so similar to me that I can’t keep them straight!
Also, 20 pounds of coconuts on your back is terrible! Amazing they managed to beat that “penalty”.

I was happy to see Annie go. That blue tribe is struggling.
They need to get rid of the “no flint until you win” rule. It sets up one tribe to be decimated.

I hadn’t thought of this, but since the no flint rule was started it seems like a tribe that loses the first 2 keeps on a downward spiral. It used to be you got your flint after the first tribal. It was only maybe a 3 day punishment.
The video game kid, Jason, is great at puzzles. I usually want more challenges with puzzles, but seeing how good he is, I am thinking the next one shouldn’t have a puzzle.

Reminds me of that kid a few seasons back who had crushed the puzzles because he had practiced the various versions based on past seasons.

They had been reusing puzzles from past seasons. After that season, they stopped reusing puzzles.

Agree the no flint rule seems particularly harsh. Hard to believe that the blue team couldn’t even get one or two pieces into the puzzle, as it did not seem that difficult. Seems like lack of food has to be impacting them.

Brutal episode tonight. They will have to rearrange tribes next week. They don’t want to run challenges with only 2 people per tribe and have 8 on a bench. (Plus I thought I saw Riz who is red with a yellow bandanna in a next episode clip. I am wondering how the beware advantage works if you are no longer on that tribe?

It was brutal. So scary to get a snake bite, even if no venom (didn’t really know about that).
I wonder if Jake is one of the contestants from this season to go on Season 50. Would make sense to give him another chance, and maybe he will get on a team with some good puzzle solvers!

I didn’t care for Jake, but that was scary. I agree that they should bring him back.
Interesting tidbit when they showed the book with info about what they can eat, what is poisonous, etc.
When someone is medivacked, don’t they usually count them as the one voted off that week?
They’ll need to change the rule on no flint. No fire for 1 or 2 challenges, ok, but we have had quite a few seasons now where the first loser spirals into multiple losses. On the other hand, if your team has no puzzle solvers, you are doomed. It was sad seeing Kele fail at each puzzle.

Plus, one of the reasons for pulling Jake was the fact that he had no food.
