Any Survivor Watchers?

I agree. I think it’s been at least three seasons in a row now where the team that loses the first challenge keeps losing. It just feels very unbalanced and not fun at all.

Was it always like this? I haven’t watched all the seasons, so I don’t recall if the rules changed at some point.

Maybe they should impose a limit — for example, if a team loses the first two challenges, they go without flint but get it back before the third challenge.

Yikes a snake bite!! How scary. I didn’t know there could be a “dry bite”. Thank goodness!! I too wonder if he will be on Season 50. I didn’t love Alex but I thought the show bandit bit was fun.
I was screaming at Alex to use his Idol. But I guess he didn’t need to. Looking forward to new tribes.

I won’t reveal the answer, but it’s out there in spoiler land

Brutal. I couldn’t help but feel that the universe was trying to tell that man to get his butt home to see his baby being born. Missing that seemed like a crazy decision to me. Go on Survivor some other time for goodness sake. But then he ended up on a losing tribe, got bit by a snake… can the universe send you any more signs that you are not supposed to be there?

Anyway, I’m glad he was ok and I’m glad he made it home for his baby’s birth. And I agree they need to fix that flint situation.

Watching survivor last night, I think they voted off the wrong person. Jason is a puzzle master and could help them win in the future. Whereas, Sophi has eaten nothing but coconuts for the entire time and because of this is physically useless at challenges. They are thinking too long term, post merge, instead of just trying to win and get flint and food.

Agree to some extent, although numbers at the merge typically is important. There are now 12 players left and so the merge could happen any time. Challenge was fun to watch.

The other tribe should have thrown the challenge once they saw a former Hina voted off. They are now the minority in the merge. The reshuffle was unlucky for the 2 members of each tribe that became the minority. It would have been more fun if they drew lots for 2 captains, or better yet let Sophie and Alex pick in a school yard pick.

It’s been over two weeks since anyone has posted here. So who will win the million bucks, now that the merge is in place?

I’m not saying that she’ll win the million, but I’m impressed Soph is still standing. One for being the underdog and two, for not having any food!

Sage’s facial expressions crack me up. She has a good read on people. Unfortunately, she didn’t form an alliance until too late. I think everyone in her group only has one foot in the alliance. Each is ready to jump to the next best thing if necessary.

Savannah and Rizo, on the other hand, are tight. They brough in Soph which makes them a pretty strong trio.

No comment, since I’ve seen the spoilers

I just finished watching this week. Nate was my #1 so I’m disappointed.

Savannah diving for MC’s advantage - what?! Good on MC for having the quicker reflexes. Savannah is very overbearing. She is constantly getting too close to everyone’s personal space!

I liked Nate too. My current faves are MC and Soph.

I was not a fan of Sage. Another survivor voted off when they thought they were running the game. I hated the way she reacted to last week’s loser.

???

Sage is still playing?

Yes, Sage is still playing. I was sad to see Nate go, but glad he’s on the jury.

I like MC and I like both Sophies. I was impressed with Sophie‘s immunity challenge win and they haven’t given her much air time yet, so I’m looking forward to getting to see more of her gameplay. Rizzo is still fun to watch.

Savannah is the most annoying, followed quickly by Sage. I think either of them are the next to go.

I knew Sage was still playing….that’s why I was confused at @oldmom4896 post!

We have a family Survivor pool - we had to pick our top 2 to win - prior to the season starting and based just on their bio - a school yard pick with about 9 of us - one at a time so you kind of have to take whose left. My first pick was MC (I need to go back and read her bio to see what prompted me to pick her!) and my 2nd pick - I was the second to the last person to get a pick - was Sage. Sage has actually made it farther than i thought.

I really wanted to hear the cast find out what Nate’s career is. I am at least glad to hear/see him on the jury!

I still think there should be a merge feast for all the merged players like there used to be. Perhaps the winners should get a bit more, but there should be some celebration to making it to the merge and jury.

Was sorry to see Nate go, but it made sense. Good to finally see some game play last week after several weeks in which the obvious pick went home.

Interesting article and agree that the producers need to do something to change up the game - especially with 90 minute episodes. I don’t have a strong favorite or someone I really hope doesn’t win which may well reflect how bland the cast is.

I’m hearing that Jeff says on his podcast that the second half of the season heats up. And not in temperature. :thermometer: So hopefully more action!

I guess I enjoy the show so much that I have been satisfied this season!
