Any Survivor Watchers?

The general rule is to wait until aired on the West Coast

It was a great episode. I liked the twist! And I loved that Cirie found the coconut. Do you think the hidden fake idol saved Aubry and Devens?

Everyone voted for Coach & Chrissy except for Chrissy and Jonathan. I’m sure at least Stephanie changed her vote because of the fake idol.

This episode showed how much Cirie is respected. Devins and Aubrey were the target until Cirie came back and started calling the moves. I was disappointed that they cast Cirie again, but watching her work these Survivor All Stars is impressive.

Edit to add: Did we see Savanah spilling intel about Rizo to Chrissy?

Sorry I posted after I watched it here on the east coast - I never check this thread until after I have watched the episode so as not to see any spoilers. (Sometimes I don’t get to watch until the next day).

Yes, Cirie has a lot of power. In my opinion, the smartest move last night would have been to blindside Ozzie and Steph. I love them both, but the chance to get out two huge challenge threats at the same time will never happen again. However, they have both positioned themselves socially with too many other players for that to have happened.

I’m on the west coast and often see spoilers posted for shows before the episode is finished in my time zone. If I don’t want to know, I don’t open the thread.

Oh sorry, I’m getting my forums mixed up. Actually there’s so little “real time” tv discussion here, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the rule come up.

I wonder how long it will take for someone to figure out the idol is fake. Cirie is good at reading situations. Ozzy knows something about fake idols.

I was never a Coach fan

I just have one thing to say……

GIRL, BYE!

I don’t know what exactly it is about Chrissy, but she REALLY annoyed me.

Was glad to see Coach gone. I thought he (or someone) suggested that the idol was fake. And Devins unwillingness to show it would add fuel to that fire.

Was nice to see Joe and Tiff come from behind and win the challenge. Was a good episode and interesting twist.

Do others like Tiff? Others favs?

I like Tiff - I think she may go far. She was in the background early in the season and the edit is giving her more airtime.

I’m partial to Christian, Ozzy, Cirie to a degree. Joe because he’s one of my picks in the pool I’m in. And Rizzo. One week I love him, one week he annoys me. But I think he’s having a really good (and smart) season so far.

Was interesting at the end. Jeff calls Chrissy up first to get her torch snuffed. Was that to give Coach his moment??

So Chrissy gets up, Jeff snuffs….crickets. No comments from the tribe on the bench, no comments from Chrissy - she just walks away. At least that is the edit.

I did wonder how they will view the double elimination as to which order the two were voted out in - who is member 2 vs 3 on the jury - maybe they defaulted to alphabetical ?
Coach Wade and Chrissy Hofbeck ?

I actually didn’t notice that but very interesting if none of the tribe gave some love to Chrissy as she was leaving. Hoping it was just the edit. Did they show her walking away (I honestly don’t recall).

Coach and Chrissy were on the CBS Morning show yesterday. Gayle King asked them who they liked to win. Since they are on the jury, they know who won. They are also under non-disclosure agreements, so the names they mentioned (Jonathan, Cirie, Rizo) probably aren’t the winners.

Apparently Gayle has never watched Survivor - she would know that they are :zipper_mouth_face:.

Interesting trio. :zipper_mouth_face:

Coach and Chrissy are sharing a lot in their exit interviews. Neither can keep their mouth shut. Don’t watch if you don’t want to know. Chrissy, Coach

Edit to add Coach interview from RHAP where he said he had a pre-game alliance with Angelina and that he slipped a note in Colby’s bag during pre-show interviews telling him how to vote then complaining about other people who spoke to each other before the show.

I’ll take a contrarian viewpoint and will say that I’ll miss Chrissy and Coach. While I personally prefer Aubrey and Devens, we need the Coaches of the world to make the show more interesting and engaging. I miss the old villains or large personalities like Coach as they make the show and stories more enjoyable. Whatever you want to say about Russell Hantz, he made the show more interesting and watching him lose that much better when he went far. A valid criticism of the past 10 seasons is everyone’s a gamebot that generally don’t take offense to being betrayed and there weren’t many bad guys with the possible exception of Q who certainly made his season more entertaining. Hence, with maybe 2 exceptions, most of the seasons were too similar and unmemorable. That’s why (imo) this season has been a significant improvement because you see a lot of big personalities, mistakes and hurt feelings.

I wouldn’t call Chrissy a villain but she got lumped in with the group that seems to be disfavored. Yes, she’s controlling, but I thought she had the best idea out there last week - flush Rizzo’s idol. That guy has gotten away with a known idol for 1.5 seasons now and no one seems to be going after him. I think he’s actually played a better game this season than last as other than offending Chrissy and Colby with his work ethic early on, most people seem to like him a lot and want to work with him despite the fact that he’s running around with an idol.
