Because he manages to fly under the radar. No one sees him as a threat.
Rizzo is cocky. But at least in his 2 season edit he is cocky in his confessionals- not so much when he’s around the other players. He isn’t a challenge threat. He’s younger than everyone here by a mile. They don’t know how season one played out so they only have .5 of a season to go on.
I think he is under a radar.
I liked big personalities of Rupert, Russell, and Carolyn. I liked the challenge beasts/providers - Ozzy, Malcolm, and Joe. I like the strategists - Sandra, Parvati, Boston Rob. I liked the nerds - Fishback, Cochran, Christian, Carson, even Emily. Not sure how I would classify them, but I liked Austin & Kyle. I like Rizo.
Coach, Q, Phillip, Jonny Fairplay all grate on me. And I don’t care for Genevieve or Joe.
Rizzo is cocky, but he’s a kid, so I expect him to be that way—doesn’t know any better.
Coach is also cocky, but at his age, with life experiences, he should know how that can be annoying. Unless of course his is extremely NOT self-aware.
Rizzo was 25 when he competed. Old enough IMO to know about the cons of being cocky.
Which is why he isn’t cocky with the other players. He always seems nice, harmless, maybe even a bit naive, when interacting with others. In other words, he’s a smart player.
Emily slips under the table.she is good at puzzles but I don’t think people see her as a threat.
My apologies, but I was three episodes behind, so I finally caught up. I haven’t checked this thread in a long while.
I do enjoy big personalities, so seeing Coach leave is a bummer. I didn’t want him to leave just yet and I kinda assumed the other players would keep him around since he could be voted out at any time.
Sure made for an interesting tribal council.
I don’t listen to any country music, so I agree. Way too much Zac Brown. BTW, who’s Zac Brown? I didn’t even bother to Google him. ![]()
I didn’t think Cirie would find the rock with the Phoenix, but congrats to her. I would have been running that beach like a crazy person.
RizGod is cocky? Who would have thunk? ![]()
Almost every time there’s a food reward, I have to raid the fridge. They make the food look so good. Even the Applebee’s food.
I was not happy with the Jimmy Fallon twist. I think it should have been, if you lose there is already one vote in the urn with your name on it and you lose your vote. So, in effect you vote for yourself, but the entire tribe doesn’t know it. This set up did not give Christian any room to lie about the journey. Part of the fun of journeys is seeing what they say when they return.
But I loved seeing Jeff take part in the challenge
that part I agree with - it was fun - I liked the trash talking
I liked the “You’ve got to dig!” when he was dying.
I liked Jeff participating in the challenge but did not like that Christian had no options. I wonder if he will appear on Jimmy Fallon’s show?
I was wondering if he will appear on Fallon as well.
It was a no win situation. Casting an early vote when you don’t have time to talk to others and use your vote strategically, is basically a lost vote.
Good episode last night. Was fun to see Jeff compete, even though the outlast challenges tend to be boring. Why didn’t Christian spill that Devens’ idol was fake? That may have moved the target off of him.
Interesting journey twist. I thought it was fine that he had to write his own name down. Will have to DVR Fallon tonight!!
Bummed. ![]()
Please, please, snuff Emily and Jonathan’s fire out.
The Fallon appearance was a nothing burger. Thankfully it was on YouTube and I could watch at 2x speed. Even still, it’s 3 minutes if my life that I’ll never get back
So he actually appeared on the island? Why did we not see that and when did he appear?
No, Christian was on Fallon last night. It was as expected. Can find on youtube.
