Duh, I thought you were saying that you saw something that was a taped appearance of Fallon on the island.
Season 50 should get many of these contestants some brand deals if they are interested or entertainment gigs so I guess even if they don’t win, there will be some financial gain.
Interesting twist. Good for Devins to go for it. Apparently, the votes were on him so a 50-50 chance was actually a good bet. Also interesting that Stephenie was not able to turn the tables on Jonathan.
You could see Devins get more and more excited when he realized he had a 50% chance. It was much better than playing his Shot in the Dark.
I’ve watched some of Stephanie’s exit interviews. Wow, she doesn’t come across very well.
That’s interesting. I don’t really know much about her. I wasn’t sorry to see her go. Now please, Jonathan. He’s the only one left that I think I DON’T want to see win 2 MILLION dollars!!!
I admit to not being the best about knowing actors and similar celebs. Until the buzz of this season and special guests I have NEVER heard of Mr. Beast. I still don’t really get him! He seemed like a nice enough guy on the show though! And I appreciated that his appearances were short.
I was eating dinner during the auction. Bad idea. ![]()
I guess they might not have shown it all but it seemed that a couple of people - Joe in particular - didn’t bid on anything???
I liked that they all got the letters from home. I hate when it becomes the reward of a challenge.
Yeah, she wasn’t my favorite. For a while I thought Devins was kind of annoying and self-congratulatory but it was really fun to watch him in this episode.
They keep whatever auction money is left. So I guess they figured they’re not getting the $2M, they might as well get $480
Do you know how much each player receives to be on S50?
Unlike S40 - Winners at War - there were allegedly no individual negotiations on appearance fees. They were shown the pay schedule and told that’s what it is, take it or leave it.
Every player gets $10K for the reunion. First boot is $20K or 25K, and goes up to $100K for the runner-up and $2M for the winner.
I saw posted somewhere that they didn’t show all of the auction, so some people got food that we didn’t see. That might be true for Joe.
Minimum payout for this season is $35K (first one voted off) and it goes up from there.
Steph has had issues before with her image, made some antisemitic remarks last year about another former contestant.
I was thinking that with the hunger I would have that a plate of charcuterie or a grilled cheese might be worth $480!
I thought the biggest waste was the milkshake for whatever Emily paid for it.
Much too much blah blah blah from Jeff. And count me as another who never heard of Mr. Beast.
Devens is fun to watch.
I liked that “side bet,” but geez, I’m totally disappointed with his performance.
I’m really enjoying this season so far.
Food challenge. I’m out on bugs and slugs. I’m with Cerie on this one. Barfarama!
Count me as another person who hasn’t heard of Mr. Beast. And I know a few local prolific social media influencers and also know plenty of 20 and 30 something’s.
My kids and husband all knew who Mr. Beast is. Not me. I liked the episode though.
I was at the robotics world championship in Houston last week and Christian was there. I only saw him from far away.
I love Ozzie but he was stupid tonight - told Aubrey too much and should have played his idol - he even dreamed about it!
I didn’t realize that Cirie would have 2 votes in the tie breaker vote. They probably explained that. Once that was the case, Emily was cooked.
Now they need to get out Rizzo - the last idol standing!
Also, don’t any of these people do yoga, why are they swinging that second leg around in the air trying to balance. They needed to pull that leg up to keep in balance (tree pose)!
You have a stark contrast of excellent and terrible play tonight and a lesson in being self-aware. Cirie was brilliant in hedging and playing her second vote and recognizing she was the target. She sniffed out the bluff, got Jonathan to trust her even though she’s voted against his side and Aubrey gave him information that should have given him pause to trust Cirie. While not shown, I wonder if she told him about her second vote before tribal as he didn’t seem that surprised that it was played.
By contrast, Ozzie figuratively gave Aubrey the noose to hang him with while ignoring his own premonition. Has anybody else ever been voted out twice with an idol in their pocket? Who gives their jury speech to someone they tell they will vote out – let alone a 4-time player – with nine players still to go? Ozzie still does not understand strategy despite saying how different he was this season. Does he really expect Aubrey to respect his game because he plans to take the best players like Cirie to the end?!?! I think Ozzie’s terrible moves tonight go down as among the worst in survivor history - right up there with Reichenbach giving the Widows his immunity and JT giving Russell his idol. Had Ozzie made it to the end and taken Cirie, he could’ve matched Woo’s stupidity.
If Cirie gets to the end, there is no way she loses. Everyone likes and trusts her even though it seems clear she’s running the show. Plus, other than Christian, I’m not sure anybody blames her for their ouster. Of course, getting to the end has always been her struggle. Hopefully, she has improved her fire making skills in the six months before heading to Fiji.
Even better, this season the fans voted not to have a fire making contest (which I hate and hope other fans hated).
I was a big Ozzy fan but boy did he make two huge mistakes last night. What possible reason did he have for telling Aubrey of about his alliance with Cirie. Even Rizzo turned on him for that. I have a feeling at least some of the other players see Cirie as a major threat and she likely won’t make it to the end.
I am mixed on fire making. Don’t love it, but also don’t like that the best player left standing can get voted out at 4. At least with fire they have a chance.
I am not sure who I am rooting for at this point!
The spoilers on the order of being voted off has been surprisingly accurate this season
When last night’s episode showed Ozzie’s emotional side, I had a feeling he was going to be voted out. Too bad he didn’t play his immunity.
IMO Aubry and Deven are next to go. I was a fan of Joe & Eva in Season 48, but Joe’s only ally is Jonathan, which leaves him vulnerable. Rizo and Tiff are riding Cirie’s coattails, and they will lose if they bring her to the final tribal council. I think it will be easy to convince the remaining players to vote Cirie out at some point.
