<p>My browser is acting very wierdly. Several times in the last few days, I’ve had some mysterious thread disappearances. OK, at least one I know was deleted because things were getting contentious, but others were not, so I’m assuming that the problem is on my end.</p>
<p>I had a problem once before with things dropping from view, and it turned out to be my settings in my profile (how long a thread can be seen by me).</p>
<p>I think maybe I’m getting old and senile and I’m remembering things that weren’t there.</p>
<p>DG, one valuable test involves a quick switch to the TEXT version of the board. The button is located at the bottom of the page. If the thread appears in text mode but is invisible in regular full view mode, there might be an issue of settings. If the thread is invisible in both modes, there is a good chance it was deleted. </p>
<p>Of course, your initial thought of checking the Control Panel is still the best, as there are a number of individual settings that could influence your “view.”</p>
<p>I have been having the same problem lately. It is a weird thing to think (dream, perhaps?) that you posted something and to go looking for it later, but its not there. Did I misplace the thread somehow like I do practically everything else? </p>

<p>Sounds like someone is doing some serious house cleaning!! What gives, is big brother watching that closely? </p>
<p>I also read the adult bully thread and wanted to show the link to the article to a friend. I was going to print it tonight, but it is no longer there.</p>
<p>Moderators do delete threads, and the thread started by Coronax2 was indeed deleted. The reasons for the deletion were explained to the original poster. </p>
