I didn’t like the Amber/Seth thing because I thought that Seth’s behavior is less than believable. He’s been manipulating everyone and then suddenly when Amber explains that he’s getting in the way of mom’s relationship, he acts like a grown up and takes off.

And, heck, I know some 40 year olds who are immature. I find both Sarah and Crosby very believable in that respect.

That kiss wasn’t as bad as the preview made it appear. She threw herself at him. So WHY did he lie/be less than forthcoming to Christina??? Argh.

Of course, she just had a baby and look how they are dressing her. Her pants are awful. Plus she is angry with herself…she KNEW there was going to be a probelm.
Drew was sweet.

My word.
A person will be unfaithful if they want to. It doesn’t take a women so beautiful as the new asst. to make it happen. Can’t believe the amount of time/script they are spending on showing us just how gorgeous she is. Just how provocative she dresses, etc.

Adam probably IS attracted to her, kinda easy to be, right. But HE didn’t kiss her.
She ambushed him. He needs to tell Christina the he was ambushed into a kiss?
I don’t get that. Just fire her if you’re not sure that you can resist your temptation…
But there are always other beautiful people around if you intend to be unfaithful.

I don’t know if it was (will be) smart or not, but I am glad he is telling Christina about it, that just seems like something he would do if he were truly not interested.

I don’t think they will fire her but wouldn’t it be wrongful termination if they fire he because they both seemed to be attracted to them? I just feel like that would be a bad idea?

But she’s the one who made the move on Adam. Whether that would hold up in a court of law is another thing.

I love the conversation this prompted with the 16yo. Dh was unusually quiet. ;)

During the commercial, ds said really hated this plot twist for Adam because he’s a stand-up guy. I told ds that he’s still a stand-up guy, and he won’t be in trouble if after the break he tells Christina what happened. When he lied to her and said he went back because of some lost billing info – that’s when his troubles start, because now he looks like he’s got something to lie about. Ds got that, that Adam just made his life more difficult than it needed to be.

We also had a bet whether Drew would be caught sneaking out this episode or next. I won that one. ;)

I missed the part of the episode with Drew, but I caught the whole Chrstina/ asst kiss thing. Geez, the writers must think the viewing audience doesn’t “get” how sexy/attrasctive this new assistant is unless the actors say it over and over again. How many times do we have to hear it? And, now how obvious do they have to be to show Adam and the assistant kissing? What a stupid plot twist, out of nothing! We all know Adam wouldn’t mess with the assistant, except that the writers create foolish set-ups to make that happen. Then, he’s going to be again foolish to tell Christine that this happened and we’ll see more angst. It’s not like Adam’s character is flawed. It’s the writers who are flawed, trying to drag out problems where they don’t exist.

Yes, there are beautiful people around but this woman has been flashing her breasts up close to Adam since she started working there. He’d have to be comatose to not be a bit distracted. She should have been told point-blank to dress more appropriately for work.

It’s going to be hard to fire her because she’s good for business. Businesses hire girls all the time because of their looks and put them “out front” for the clients.

Imagine the story in court if the assistant claims Adam made the first move–“he drove me home and insisted he walk me to the door”…
She can claim anything she wants and he is a sitting duck. I thought the expression on his face was saying just that. Remember that he is a mature man and also ran a company of young people and no doubt knows all the rules. I suspect there will be some kind of framing coming soon.

Exactly. It’s what I said last week. Lazy writing. And the entire scene/scenario where he had to return for something “urgent” was ridiculous. If Adam is the standup guy that everyone thinks he is, he would have called Crosby to find out what the urgency was, and said no. Instead, he rushes off when Cristina clearly needs him, and although he says he’s only having one drink, he stays for heaven knows how long, and then, of course, has to offer to drive this girl home. And not only drive her home but walk her to her door? This is so implausible as to be a totally annoying occurrence. Oh, and as if that’s not enough, he hugs her? Very disappointed in this episode, I think it was weak in many respects.

One other comment. I have two groups of friends in the music business who are involved in studio recording, production, fairly similar to Crosby’s operation, or as similar as reality can get because his setup is not very close to reality, but anyway, there’s no way that either group would allow/encourage a receptionist to dress like this girl is dressing. You don’t have to dress all ‘corporate’ in order to be dressed in a professional manner even in a recording studio. What this girl has been wearing is ridiculous.

AM- I totally agree about the plausibility of the ride home, really Adam? Really? You have to walk her to the door? That made no sense. Sit in the parking lot until she opens the door, sure, walk her to the door, nope.

Anyway like the Sydney learns how to lose story line? It was certainly an unrealistically quick change!

What was crazy to me is that they suggested a recording artist would choose a studio because of the way an assistant looks. Is that supposed to be the equivalent of the “casting couch?”

“Anyway like the Sydney learns how to lose story line? It was certainly an unrealistically quick change!” - I agree! Especially considering how long she had been spoiled.

Did anyone think it was rather overly presumptuous and intrusive for Zeke (Craig T Nelson’s character) to jog over to his daughter’s, burst into the house, and tell them how to raise their daughter?

And, while I enjoy the show, my husband can’t stand it because he says all the characters talk over each other. It drives him crazy.
