It really did feel like they were wrapping everything up with a neat bow as if it’s known the show won’t be renewed. I love this show and am sad that it appears to be over…I didn’t really like the pollyanna-ish way they skipped from storyline to storyline having each end in an upbeat way. Felt too forced and too ‘how can we end this happily and quickly’ for me. I will miss those Bravermans though!

That was Hank’s daughter in the snow.

I didn’t see Sarah playing in the snow. I saw her as part of Drew’s Berkeley celebration.

No mention of Haddie the whole episode. I miss her. But kids grow up and move on, so that makes sense.

I thought it was Hank’s daughter playing in the snow too.

All the final scenes seemed like a …“so this is how it all turned out” epilogue.

If it’s the end of the road for the Bravermans, I’ll miss them.

Private Practice had its Series Finale last night opposite Parenthood. The actress that played Haddie was on the show. She played a patient of one of the therapists, and had quite a few scenes. It was weird seeing her on that show, especially in the same time slot opposite Parenthood!

Glad to hear that Haddie’s getting work. :)

also thought it was Hank’s daughter, although it seemed to be a bit unclear…

will miss the Bravermans if they don’t return. as hokey as the last scene was, it was sweet to see the clan support Victor’s adoption in such a big way. sweet…

Most oncologists do not use the word “cured” for breast cancer even after 5 years. The most common type has a significant rate of late recurrence even for early stages. After having Kristina’s experience ring true most of the way, that comment was jarring.

Agreed that it was a “happily ever after” ending, but if that’s it for the series at least we’re not kept wondering. Oh, except for Sarah (I too think it was Hank’s daughter playing in the snow). And you know, I’m not really that concerned about Sarah’s love life for some reason. Her passivity, telling Mark that she loves him but is going to make things work with Hank instead of that she loves Hank, I don’t know, that story line all just seemed kind of superficial and fake to me.

I liked the Berkeley celebration. I liked that he found out online his admission decision (which is the way Berkeley does it). I liked the adoption. I like Mark, I like Hank, I just really don’t like Sarah. There is something about her face that is bothering me, I can’t really put my finger on it, but I am think maybe she is using too much botox or something. I did not see Sarah in the snow, I assumed it was the daughter. I hope they come back, but I won’t hold my breath.

Tx5, one thing I noticed last night is how thick her neck is. And she’s jowly. Sorry to sound so catty, but it’s something I noticed last night.

All I could think when Sarah told Mark she was sticking with Hank is that Mark is going to be so glad one day that is not with a woman who looks like she could be his mother. That matchup never worked. I think it was the daughter in the snow too. Can’t say I will miss the show if it doesn’t return.

All signs point to the show returning but no official announcement has been made yet.

I hope it comes back next year. I did like the montage at the end just in case it does not. Nice to see Sarah doing the right thing for a change (letting Mark go and not immediately packing up for MN). Nice to see Amy and Drew get good news re: applications. Liked the Crosby/Jasmin anniversary but there will be more MIL drama. I thought how Jasmin described her mother was beautiful and makes it easier to see why it was hard for her to push back on mom. I guess the recording studio is doing well! Overnights in town and to Hawaii and no more tuition worries for Adam and Christina; expensive anniversary and new baby for Crosby and Jasmin. I agree with above post that Drew will probably live at home for financial reasons. Adoption signing made me cry.

OK–Looks like I blew it and it wasn’t Sarah in the snow.

I do hope the show comes back next fall.

Was I the only one that when Christina saw her chemo buddy in relapse think of sunriseast? the tears were rollin…

I didn’t think I’d enjoy the finale, but I really did. The epilogue was a nice touch. I was creeped out by the music they played during the PET scan, glad that was brief. Does anyone know the song they played at the end? I think it was Pearl Jam singing.

I enjoyed the episode for the most part, but I thought the adoption scene was hokey with everyone chiming in to say something to Victor. Amber’s hair has been so much longer the last 2 episodes and I think last night that Drew just looked taller/older as well. I know Mae Whitman’s previous hairdo was what she had in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, so I’m wondering if there was a big gap in filming the last two or three episodes and the previous episodes from the season.

I don’t know if this is wishful thinking, or if my memory is just bad, but it seems to me they wrapped things up at the end of last season. I remember the wedding and it was kind of a “happily ever after” type season ending.

I hope the show gets renewed. I love the Bravermans and think there are so many possible stories left to explore. I tried not to be too sad tonight when I watched it, but it was hard.

I think the reason Sarah repeated her comment to Mark about making it work with Hank is because she was still trying to convince herself. She (IMHO) has no clue what she wants. It broke my heart (in an earlier scene) when Mark told her he loved her and backed up as fast as he could and headed to his car–almost as if he wanted to get away before she could tell him she didn’t love him.

You’re right. No reason to think this was the last show, except that its renewal was tenuous last year so I’m preparing myself for the worst.

I guess that I don’t want Sarah to end up with Mark, but I want Mark to be happy.

So tired of fake cone-head Christina. She looked so stupid.

At what salary point and at what " true to the character " point do the producers and the actor agree to loose the hair?
