Anyone watch Parenthood, the tv show?

Parenthood is moving to THURSDAYS starting September 26, 10/9c.

Ray Ramano will be returning this year for 12-15 episodes, which is usually the show’s number of episodes. Thankfully NBC has some faith and Parenthood got 22 episodes.

I do a series recording and watch it while I’m on the treadmill. It was nice to see one after the other. I was thinking it was losing steam when they cut down the episodes last season - glad to see it picking up.

I liked the Ray Romano character. The Ritter character (is that John Ritter’s son?) annoyed me with the stammering. I don’t find that charming.

Yes, that’s John Ritter’s son.

Can’t wait.

Parenthood returns tonight at 10!

I used to almost cringe watching Jason Ritter’s and Lauren Graham’s scenes; I didn’t see any chemistry whereas I find Ray Romano is perfect both in age and brooding character - so glad he is coming back.

Thanks for the heads-up, Alwaysmom. I didn’t know it was returning. Setting the DVR.

Seriously…there are about 3 TV shows other than news, AndersonCooper360, etc. that I enjoy. WHY did they have to put Parenthood up against Elementary!!!

^^^ thank goodness I have a DVR option. I like both shows.

Soooooooooooo excited. But sad that for the first time I won’t be watching with ds2. :(

jonri, I always have that problem. The shows I enjoy always seem to be on at the same time. So, I use the DVR and we’re fortunate to have western stations on our cable. That way, if there are three different shows at the same time, I can watch one and record the other two.

Not even a mention of Haddie. WTH? I cried at the proposal.

Parenthood know very well how to make you cry in the last couple minutes of the show.

I was caught off-guard by the proposal- a little emotional too.

I knew I’d cry watching the homecoming scene as I’ve been to one and they make it incredibly emotional. Adding on the music and the proposal just added to it. I read a spoiler early this summer about Ryan/Amber and knew it was coming but didn’t know when.

As a Mom with a S who has done one deployment to the Middle East and will do another one next summer, the proposal scene really got me. Love Amber.

Are they really naming the baby Eieta? ugh.

Had a tough decision deciding whether to DVR Grey’s Anatomy (2 hour episode) or Parenthood. Glad I went w/ Parenthood.

FYI - Haddie is really in college. Discussed by one of cast on Today show.

Packmom, I posted about the new Comcast x1 below. It lets you dvr up to 4 shows and watch a 5th. Came in so handy last night! If you have Comcast triple play already you might be able to get it. No extra charge except install. My install was free because I was already having issues with my old dvr so I got a free service call. If you upgrade to triple play you can get a great deal (at least they advertise great deals here in )

It’s Aida. Maybe Jasmine is an opera or musical theatre fan, and it came to mind because of the baby’s crying. ;)

I know! Parenthood is one of those shows that I always watched with at least one of my kids.
