Anyone watch Parenthood, the tv show?

Joel and Julia are having a pretty normal last sex fling. A “Goodby” sex.
Bet anything they sign the papers.

I’m with oregon ^. I (sadly) agree that Joel did sign the papers and the sex may have been a last time thing, BUT I’m going to go through the next few weeks thinking that after the sex they burn the papers!

I don’t think he signed the papers. I think they live happily ever after.

And I, for one, like Hank and Sarah together.

Goodbye sex is what I was thinkng. We see Joel and Julia at the hospital with Zeek. I bet they change their mind with his approaching demise.

tx5, good plot twist!

I’m glad Mark is happy.

What a good episode. I loved it all. Poor Drew, put in the middle and having to tell his grandfather no. At least we don’t have to wait as long for our final four as the ABC Thursday shows are waiting for their series to return. Last night was the winter finale and they aren’t back until January 29. I was glad to know Parenthood would be back January 8th. I guess the finale is probably well timed for February sweeps.

"Wow! Good episode! I do not think Joel signed the papers. So do you think if the person who dies is not Zeek that they will transplant his heart into Zeek?’

Yep. Thinking it will be Crosby (who I can’t stand so)

Something is telling me Joel & Julia do get back together.

emily, I’m glad it’s not just me not loving Crosby. I have a friend who thinks he’s just adorable. I mean, he kind of is, but grow up!

The Drew thing remains powerful for me. My father had a stent put in his brain almost two years ago, but before he did, he tricked my ds2 – the one who is a college sophomore and so really relates to Drew – into fetching for him his hidden truck key because he still wanted to keep driving. That’s partly why I love the Drew storylines. It’s very real for me.

Whoa! Heart transplant from son to father? I don’t think so.

Why not, oldmom? Is it unethical or something?

I think it’s just totally unlikely, too far out there.

Edited to add: there is a long waiting list for hearts and many people die while waiting.

"Edited to add: there is a long waiting list for hearts and many people die while waiting. "

Nothing is too far out in TVLand.

Youdontsay, Not only can I not stand the character, I don’t think he is even mildly cute.

I think the remaining “miracle” of Parenthood will be Julia and Joel, following the previous Crosby-Jasmine reconciliation.

I just can’t see Crosby dying and leaving Jasmine and the kids hanging in a precarious financial position. I feel like they wouldn’t leave it like that. Which kind of makes me think that if it is not Zeek that it will be Drew, which makes me sad. I actually have not hated Sarah the last few weeks and do really like her and Hank together. Another possibility might be that it is Zeek, and then Amber and the baby (who is probably born at the same moment that Zeek dies and is then is named Zeek) move in with Camille. Definitely think Joel and Julia will get back together, especially since she cut cute/perfect lawyer guy loose.

But I can’t see them making Sarah lose a child! Oh, gosh, I will need medical intervention if Drew dies. :(

I think Crosby is the gambling son from the movie who leaves at the end, leaving his son with the Jason Robarbs character. That is why I think he will be the one who dies.

Julia and Joel get back together like the nerdy couple from the movie they are based on did.

I must have missed something. Why does everyone think that someone besides Zeek dies?

Because Zeek dying is so predictable and expected. The motorcycle accident seemed to be foreshadowing Crosby’s demise, but someone has put forth the idea that it would be Drew. All idle speculation.

Also, I need to see the movie again. I remember loving it.

My husband said the best part of this episode was that Crosby wasn’t in it ;)

Those of you who like Hank and Sarah together … why? Even when she said she wanted to be with Hank she had a look like she’s his caretaker, not the love of his life.

Fellow misfits? I think their flaws fit together, and that she’s a big help to him in dealing with his daughter, especially via his hysterical ex-wife.
