Congratulations! This is a great achievement. Would you mind sharing your stats? And how much financial aid have you received?

Hmm, hello fellow Pakistanis! I am from Nepal, and for some time, I have been following some threads in the Pakistani subforum. I’m seriously impressed by you guys’s placements and stats. However, I must ask: are you guys distanced from the Lahore Grammar schools? My friend posted a status sometime ago jumping in joy for her friend who was accepted to Yale '17. She is from LGS, and is not included in that list of placements, I believe.

a girl from LGS Defence got accepted aty both Yale and Oxford. She is missing from the list. Her name is Alizeh Maqbool i think and she has very strong extra curriculars. Debating mainly.

And a guy from my old school, The Lahore Alma, got accepted at Cambridge. No aid though. And a condition of 3 A*'s. So he thinks he probably wont go.

Oh and a friend of mine and i got an invitation for the CW in NYUAD anyone else who did?

My friend and i hv also got invitiation for cw in nyuad… he applied early and is going this thursday… mine is from 14th feb

hi,
i’d like to know if anyone has gotten into their ed school. i’m applying ed2 for oberlin

Yes, that news is right- abt that girl getting accepted into Yale. She’s gotten a 120% scholarship ( i know, weird percentage of scholarship but im just reporting what i was told)

gud for you. my brother is at nyu ad and i remember his stories… if i wasnt so in love with oberlin, id have applied.
hope it goes alright for you

^^ I haven’t added the new Cambridge acceptances in the list though, someone add them please

Hey all. Congrats all for such amazing acceptances already!
I am just so impressed by the performance of the pakistan.

To those looking for summer programs-
LUMS has got one.
Stanford EPGY is also a good one and gives good FA .
Summer Science Program (SSP) - real competitive, very prestigious, gives full ride.
NUS ( Singapore) has this summer program as well which, I think, gives good Finanial aid.

I hope you are going to a summer program to gain some exposure and knowledge and not just because it’ll add to the CV. Coz trust me, it doesn’t help in the admission process. I know this friend who attended the pretigious SSP, had great scores and essays and still the SSP didn’t help her to get in at her top choices.
In short, the summer programs may give some exposure and knowledge, but won’t benefit you/ give the extra edge in the admissions process .

Is there someone who is asking for almost a full ride from non-need-blinds? Almost 100% FA?

@robsamg I got a full ride and I know lots of other internationals on full ride here at U of Richmond and it is not need blind for intls.
