Applying to the College Class of 2017 (Starting College in the Fall of 2013)

I fully agree with oldfashioned my school as far as I know isn’t involved in such activities. Even if anyone would gets in a good US uni with fake transcript then he would feel guilty all his life. Because firstly he would be take up the place of another deserving applicant. Moreover your admission process would be based on a lie and so on your career would be based on a lie and when you will graduate and get a job and the money you would make would be haram because you weren’t deserving to get a job or either the admission.

@BluelovexD- Reply me please!! PM me your reply!!

Hi guys,

A friend from LGS 1A1 got into Mount Holyoke, ED, full aid. I got into LSE, Warwick, U of Edinburgh, Queen Mary and Sussex in the UK. I’m from LGS Paragon.

So glad to see we’re doing so well already. Congratulations to all who got in, and good luck to those who’re waiting!

@alisiddique Agreed!

Agreed with alisiddiqui94. Also short term wise, if you got into a good competitive university that is above your academic level, you will suffer. Your college will expect you to be that good, and US colleges especially make you work your ass off, and if you can’t keep up you will not have a good college experience.

AliSiddique, couldn’t agree more with the last part in ur post about haram income (y)

@oldfashioned lolz… no idea about this one but one who is incapable of getting admissions and gets it through fake academic result is likely to be having a low or zero income

@ahtesham, maybe ur right…but anyone capable of faking transcripts might be capable of anything xD

^Hahaha God knows best… leave this topic and brace yourself for April :D

For me its end of March! I’ll probably start getting decisions soon after 20th March…Anyways, goodluck to everyone who applied to MIT, its decision date is just a few days away now!

Btw who applied to Middleburry, Bowdoin, Bates, Connecticut college, Gettysburg, Trinity, Oberlin. Skidmore, Hamilton or St. Olaf… just checking how many competitor i have active at CC

Also Colby, Kenyon. Lafayette and Williams

@ahtemsham I applied to Gettysburg, Trinity , Oberlin, Skidmore, Hamilton, Colby, and Kenyon. This means I am getting a lot of rejection as your stats are way much better than mine btw Colby decisions would be out on 23rd March and Trinity’s on 27th March.

@alisiddiqui94 Noway man… Lets talk about this after decision and hey thanks for telling the dates :D

@Ahtesham, I applied to trinity college! You have applied to a dozen LAC’s man! Good luck to you with these!

thanks!!

and haha, I will always contest that. :stuck_out_tongue: Either way, Roots is most definitely NOT the best in Pakistan; it’s successful admissions almost completely rely on certain tactics which are currently being discussed in this thread. :p

Anyone else apply to UMich?

@Princeton2017
Congrats! I was looking at your posts, did you apply to Vassar too? Good luck. I applied for aid too tough.
Are you from KGS? And I agree that KGS is probably the most respected Pakistani high school among US universities. Aitchison also ties with KGS, maybe.
