woah, that’s odd. And I think Connecticut College is SAT Optional.

Now this conspiracy theory that LGS JT doesnt help its own students I may know nothing about, but look at it objectively. Atchison, arguably the second-best academic institute of Pakistan, had a student last year with those mind-blowing grades, SATs, distinctions, awards etc who quite deservedly won the 800th scholarship for Cambridge but didnt make it in anywhere in the USA. Was his school also bent on making sure he didnt get in, or was this just a case of the very fickle and random nature of admissions in the US, if youre applying for aid?

You also have to understand that simply having 15 O Levels, while an achievement in it’s self, is by no means a guarantee of an Ivy League; theres so much more to cobsider, and essays go a long way in the admissions process at these bigger universities. Just my opinion.

I totally agree with PakiRootsian… u can not just say anything about USA admissions… There will always be surprises in people who are ivy league material not getting admissions and vice versa… Plus about that 18A’s students, I dont think he applied to usa.

I do not agree with the opinion that jt principal does not want the students to go abroad. Its just that she does not change the A-level transcripts of students (which I believe is the right thing
)… for this a lot of students choose to transfer to paragon… As far as foreign admissions are concerned, jt is still not at the level of some other prestigious institutions but its catching up quickly… last time there were 2 ivy admits. this time Cambridge 800th scholar… so certainly a progress is being shown… The counselling department is new but working very hard and there is a lot of hope with the current A-1 badge…

“this just a case of the very fickle and random nature of admissions in the US, if youre applying for aid”
Bullseye! :)
