Auburn Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

Given Auburn’s preference for Fridays, any reason to think it might not be Friday, October 17th, now that this Friday has passed?

I just saw a post on Reddit that said their “regional admissions rep said by the 15th”. I really hope that is right and they do not wait until Friday.

I wonder if that 30,000 for both rounds so far? Or is that the number for round 1? And 6000 for round 1 and then another 6 for round 2?

For Fall 2024 they had 55,000 applications. It will likely be good to be on the early side of this year, lol.

If this number is through the last day or two I’m thinking this is on par with prior years based on the 59k applications received for 2025 and their common data set numbers for 2024. In 2024, 55K applied, 25.3k accepted (46%), 6.1k enrolled (24% yield). 6k spots for enrollment but they need to factor in their yield.

Their class size for incoming freshman is around 6,000 so that is the number of seats. But they will admit based on their expected yield, that is the number of admitted students who actually enroll. The 2025 yield was almost 24%, so their goal would be to admit the number of students to result in about 6,000 enrolling.

As rough as that sounds, according to some AI analysis- if that is 30k apps for EA 1 & 2, and they are accepting 6,000 for EA 1, that is fairly consistent with previous years and puts them at about a 50% acceptance rate

Are you getting any feel for what it means to be invited to War Eagle Day?

So do we have any hope that we could find out the decision today?? i’ve been a wreck all week waiting for this and it’s truly disappointing It didn’t come out on the second Friday of October and I’d really hate to have to wait till next Friday.

or because it’s war eagle day and Columbus Day. Do you think it wouldn’t come out today?

Yes 30k for both rounds said 6k TOTAL spots, but not sure for these rounds or altogether

We are here as well . It is somewhat of a more organized campus tour. They had special sessions for financial aid and an academic fair and you could get a pic with the Eagle.

We got to see a dorm and ask more specific questions but it does not appear this was for admitted students or high achievers etc, at least in my opinion.

Compared to other preview days we’ve been to at similar schools this was less organized. I think if you’ve visited previously it’s not worth a second trip. I also don’t think it will make a difference in whether or not your child is admitted. At least that’s my impression.

I will also say as it relates to a VIT invite I’m also wondering if that is to recruit in-state kids. They were pretty clear that as long as your child meets the prerequisite ACT/GPA they will receive the corresponding academic merit. Based on the numbers (30,000) and the lone to ask questions at the honors college I feel like they have a lot of well qualified applicants.

Wondering if you’ve received any insight on when decisions will be announced?
