Auburn Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

Shoot! So that basically means Friday. I wish they didn’t have such a strong preference towards Fridays.

We still don’t have a gpa so assuming not today

Not sure if this photo upload will work, but an buddy and I realized we both received different invitations to WED. I’m wondering what everyone else received, and what this could mean?

It looks like one is the initial invite and the other is a reminder.

my daughter got both of those invites. The first one as a first invitation and second as a reminder.

I honestly think they were just so overwhelmed by applications that that is what is pushing the date out further than expected. I mean the fact that there are still people without GPAs listed means they are still going through them and probably were not expecting such a high volume. I also read an article a couple months ago about their admissions office and it was in upheaval, a bunch of people were let go and a bunch of people quit so I’m wondering if there are issues with staffing as well. I know some people were reassigned admissions advisors recently. So this might be the perfect storm of all of these things happening at the same time to cause the delay. I mean, realistically all they say is “mid October“ which really could mean anywhere from like October 10 to October 20. But obviously I think we were all assuming it would be last Friday based on the past three years. Regardless of the reason for the “delay”, it’s frustrating and hard to be patient and not read into every little thing :frowning:

Any feedback from WED on when results are released for EA1?

in one group session, we were told “by the end of the week” and she could not say more. I saw in this thread someone said 15th-18th. both are technically correct. I would interpret that as likely not tomorrow :upside_down_face:

this was the impression I got after WED today.

when I heard 30,000 and realized that it was Monday at 8am, that was likely by end of day Friday. So much for that demographic cliff…

Did anyone at WED hear the ED of admissions say that decisions are still a week and a half away?? I just read this on Reddit:

Maybe that person forgot what week it is. Big weekend? :grimacing::exploding_head:

Ok so the admissions guy specifically said within the week notices would go out. Then I asked specifically to someone else who I could tell didn’t want to tell me but whispered 15-18th …

So if we think WED does not help with interest etc, do not make the effort to go — I had taken my daughter on a regular Auburn tour 2 yrs ago which was miles better than today.

The times showed 8 check in, 830 the start time. They loaded people into the gym for 45+mins hundreds of kids. They released us to the tour which they then told us later outside that it was a self tour and to use the incomplete map they gave us . .. there were supposed to be people all around campus with shirts on to help us,but not too many people were found.

The dorm didn’t have someone to show us inside and they had to fix it. The rec center was rushed. No stadium view like the personal tour. No one to just ask questions to. Not personalized AT ALL. The second session was to work on the application! So there were kids there who had not applied.

Def take ur own tour at ur leisure ! And yes 30k apps at this point.

With all this being said my son and I laughed our way thru, and had fun with it, campus is under some construction but looks like getting some new dorms for fall 26! We saw the union, rec center which is so nice, business building which was amazing, and so good being there on a day kids were on campus! We also met pres of IFC who was so nice and gave my son his number. Found the Greek houses, did toomers for lemonade and a dinner and had a great time ! His #1 now

Coastal2024, That’s a great guess on what is going on! And honestly, I can’t be too hostile when no one ever actually told us it was going to be released on the 10th.

Thanks to those who went sharing your experiences and what you heard!
