Auburn Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

Also, he reached out to his admissions person and she arranged for him to sit in on a couple classes at Auburn which was great for him. He also networked a bit and met up with a couple boys to talk about the Fraternity Rush process. Coming from OOS he knew it would be a process and it was nice for him to know what to expect. So definitely have your student consider a visit where they can sit in on a class, meet other students, etc. The Auburn parents Facebook group is a wealth of information and a lot of people are very happy to connect with in-coming/prospective students. We have been overwhelmed by how very welcoming the Auburn community is- truly THE nicest people!

What is the Auburn parents Facebook group called? I have been trying to find it. Thanks

ā€œAuburn University Parentsā€

Hi there…I’ve been reading these but finally decided to join. Such good information from y’all. I appreciate all the insights. So helpful during a confusing time. My son was accepted EA. We are OOS. If this is a repeat I apologize, but does anyone know if you have to pay the enrollment deposit before applying for housing in November?

No you do not need to pay the enrollment deposit before applying for housing.

Can someone post here when their EA 1 kid gets the email about housing window? They said ā€œlate Octoberā€ for an informational email with. their window. She has been checking email daily but has a super busy day today and rest of the week and want to make sure she does not miss anything.

I was coming on to ask the same thing. My son just checked his email this morning and there is still no information regarding what time for housing next week.

My son has not recieved anything about housing yet either.

My son just got an email about a housing timeslot…

Interesting- mine has not yet. Must go out in waves.

We got it here too.

We just got it! But his time is not until Nov 10!

Our time is until Nov 13th.

I’m really sorry if I’m just missing the boat here but I’m still just so confused.

My daughter got her timeslot. It says to log on at that time, pay the fee, and rank your housing.

When does she find out what housing she actually gets? Right away? What about picking roommates? Does she pick a roommate down the line and whoever had the better time- use theirs? And again, when he housing actually chosen? Now? At our assigned time slots?

Considering there’s 4 more rounds of acceptances I assume ANY spot now ā€œis a good spotā€? Could they really ā€œsell outā€ of all housing before EA2 even comes out?

Considering we are not even sure we are enrolling- all of this seems crazy! We don’t even get any more decisions back until December!

Edit: I just looked at the Auburn site. It says on March 4th- housing selection is done via timeslot. What timeslot is that?!?

Anyone know if 11/11 at 10 AM is good or bad?

My daughter as well

So I think after your apply for housing, you’ll get another timeslot in a like March where you can like actually pick a room. But you can go ahead and do dorm preferences and roommates I think on and after you send the application. I’m guessing so don’t quote me on it.

Lucky guy

Is the ā€œ90#ā€ they reference in the housing materials the Banner ID listed on the acceptance letter?
