Auburn Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

Yes three years ago I was told by admissions they do not weigh honors classes, only AP courses. I was also told at that time they do not include any grades from courses taken prior to 9th grade. But again this was three years ago.

Yes, it seems like you did the right thing by sending even though it is on her HS transcript. Did you have it emailed to the admissions office or your regional rep? Thank you!

Thanks. We had it sent from the college through Parchment. It was downloaded by Auburn same day according to Parchment’s website.

Yes - I was curious if everyone received one/ had link in their portal. Apparently in past years they only sent the option to apply after acceptances went out? Just thought it was curious that the link was already in portal.

My son received an invitation to apply to Honor College also. He has a 3.9W GPA and 1390 SAT, if that helps.

We received it with a 1240 OOS so I don’t think it means much! Likely sent to everyone!

My daughter received one too and she has a 3.95W GPA and 1310 OOS. I don’t recall my son getting this 3 years ago with slightly lower stats (but was accepted) but he also maybe didn’t tell me!

DS applied at 10pm on 9/15 (glad he made sure he had enough time )

Stats: OOS

4.0 W GPA

1450 SAT

11 AP’s

1 UConn DE

9 honors classes

AP Scholar with Distinction

National merit commended student

National Top school award from college board

Two page resume of sports, clubs, community service and jobs

He received an application the day after asking for activities and also had an honors application in his portal- not sure if he got invited to VIT but his SAT scores got there a day late. He said his portal moved along further on the waiting admissions timeline

My daughter was invited to War Wagle Day Oct 13. She applied 9/14. I read that it is invite only for strong applicants. I also read everyone who submits EA1 basically gets an invite.

Just trying to see if is promising news that they like something in her application. Her stats are below the published averages.

Thanks

Same here for my son who applied 9/15 and trying to figure out if it is something we should go to before he hears acceptance news

We are going. Auburn does look at interest. It is weird though because decisions should be out around same time.

Anyone else get an invite? Or didn’t get one who applied EA1?

My daughter also received a War Eagle Day invitation. My son who applied 3 years ago in the first round and was accepted, did not receive an invitation. Not sure what it means either.

Can I ask her stats? Or you can just say above or below published averages? My daughter does not have top stats but has excellent ECs and her brother goes to Auburn.

Just trying to see if I should be hopeful about this invite (without reading too much into it). I did read somewhere a mom posted her daughter was invited but got deferred a day before the War Eagle Day.

Good luck everyone! Happy to answer questions about being a student in the business school. My son is beyond happy at Auburn!

Yeah I feel like we should go too but it’s hard to go for one school ! Maybe we just need to make a trip out of it and see some others

For those who registered for the War Eagle Day - our registration would not let us choose Fall 2026… the selections were for Spring 2025, Summer 2025 or Fall 2025. Did anyone else have this problem?

Yes. I assume a typo. I put fall 2025. I read that there was this same typo last year. At least I hope I am right!

Her stats are 1310 SAT and 3.95w GPA (but slightly higher with her 9th grade transfer grades that couldn’t be calculated in the final GPA). We are out of state. So I really don’t know what it means.

Looking at the Common Data Set, Auburn states they do not consider the applicant’s interest. There are people who get invited to War Eagle Day and are unable to go because the spots fill up quickly. They cannot penalize a kid for not attending if they couldn’t get a spot because they were all taken by the time they get the invite. This has been an issue the past couple of years where kids get invited and when they try and register, there are no spots left.

You make really good points. I don’t think anyone would be penalized for not going. But if someone really shows interest and is borderline I have been told it helps. Just like applying EA1 shows interest and helps! (And being male — it helps. Balance. A good thing.)

Poster, I also think I remember you from 2 years ago. Schools like Tennessee and USC threads? True? Where did your child end up going? Here we are again!

Ha ha yes! He’s at Auburn!
