Auburn Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

Anyone know anything about deferring a semester to study abroad?

I’d suggest contacting the Auburn Abroad office. My son did Semester at Sea the spring of his sophomore year. We had to pay a fee to keep his active status at Auburn. Not sure what’s involved if you’re deferring entry as a freshman though.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for this info. My DS is very similar stats wise, applying next fall. Did you disclose AP exam scores on your application? Again, thank you so much and congrats!

Most colleges including Auburn do not take AP Exam scores in consideration for admission. These scores are used once accepted in reviewing which classes students can receive credit for and wave out of a class.

Are AP exam scores factored for scholarship awards?

For the posted merit scholarships -no AP exam scores are not considered. They consider GPA as well as SCT or ACT score. This is outlined on the website.

Her school guidance counselor sent them in.

This is a great example of being proactive, being resilient and providing APPROPRIATE new information

Does anyone know if Auburn awards scholarships past the merit shown in their website ? Maybe for honors for example ??

There is a scholarship portal called AUSOM that tracks all scholarships. I believe you fill out a form and make it detailed, because it will automatically apply you to scholarships for which you qualify. You can access it with your Auburn ID.

It’s not due until Feb I believe.

Did anyone attend the deffered workshop yesterday
my daughter is Test Optional but seems to think they said you could submit score and if it helps and is in range theyll consider, if not theyll not use. I thought once you selected TO you could no longer send. Also how did people send mid year transcript? My daughter’s counselor sent directly but it doesnt show as received. I dont see a way to upload.

I can’t remember this from my S24- when they are awarded merit, do they have to “accept” it? D26 was awarded merit and isn’t sure if she needs to “do” anything. She is already officially enrolled (paid enrollment deposit and will attend). Want to make sure she does not lose it by not doing something.

I don’ think there is an option to accept it, but probably worth a call to the college to confirm

She called them and they confirmed she does not have to do anything, as long as she enrolls by May 1 which she has already

Hi, I applied to AU on Oct 15th,2025. My plan was Early Action, when will I get my answer if I’m in or not?

Did you have all of your materials in by October 15? If not, then you probably moved to the November EA date and you should find out very soon – probably sometime next week.

yes i had everything in by then what is the next EA date ?

I would email your admissions counselor. If you had everything in by 10/15 you should have heard by mid-November.
