Every school has a common data set where they list what they consider in Admissions:
So whatās the likelihood it comes out tomorrow?
It looks like it has come out on the second Friday of October the past few years so I think it could happen. Weāll definitely be looking for it tomorrow!
Anyone know if they arenāt posting gpaās in portal at all this year? Last year they were posted days before decisions were announced. I still really do think decisions will be released tomorrow still going off previous dates. Next week would be past Oct 15th, which is the EA2 deadline, so Iād imagine theyād be focused on EA2 by next week.
Nerve wracking. Auburn is my absolute dream school and Iāve been an Auburn fan forever. My grades have came a long way and I worked to get a 27 on the ACT (not high compared to some of you people lol). In state gives me more hope. I couldnāt imagine being OOS during this. So unpredictable.
Youāre in their ACT range for in state- even if you get deferred this Iād think you gave a good shot.
Do you think my gpa is too low to get accepted this time around?
Itās a little under their mid range for acceptance but just by a tiny bit. I am not super familiar with Auburnās acceptance paths so I canāt say for sure.
ChatGPT (yes Iām asking it) says I have a 65% chance to get in this round. . Manifesting acceptance for everyone.
Will anyone get rejected this round? Or everyone deferred? What percentage rejected?
They usually post a chart with in state and OOS with admit defer and deny average ACT and GPA scores when they release decisions so they def deny some folks
No GPA post yet still ā¦.but his super score SAT is in there. I would think itās pretty awful to have a kid (like mine) leave tomorrow to go from CT for an invited war eagle day and then deny him over the weekend! He was also asked by the business dept to schedule an hour tour on that day which we signed up for fast. Two years ago my daughter didnāt submit her SAT and was denied and never got a war eagle invite FYI!
she didnāt register for 10/13? So maybe that is why she got 11/7. D26 registered for Monday; she did not receive another for 11/7. She received a separate email from engineering for a tour / student Q&A while we are there. I have ZERO experience with Auburn - S24 did not apply nor did any of his friends. But I always assumed WED was for accepted students. I canāt imagine them inviting you to attend and then saying āsorry youāre deferred.ā But like I said, I donāt know much. Iāll be thinking of her (hopefully) tomorrow.
I guess we need to know if anyone has ever been invited to WED and then got deferredā¦.
If anyone is familiar with housing, how bad would it be to get deferred? I donāt mind getting deferred, but my big worry is the housing will be gone quick.
Apparently there were a few on last yearās message board who were invited and then deferred..
GPA is a lot lower than the admitted I must add.
I remember reading that last year people were deferred before WED and some still attended. I spoke to someone at Auburn this week and found out that 3000 are registered to attend WED on Monday. Invitations were sent to all those registered for some specific colleges for specific tours based on what major they applied to. My take is that all who have applied/shown interest were invited to WED and if you had already registered for the 10/13 date, then you didnāt receive an invite for the Nov date. The person I spoke to also confirmed that EA only based on GPA/Test score. I didnāt ask when decisions were coming out so kicking myself now. It does seem a bit harsh for those coming from OOS who have made plans and then get kicked to the curb on the Friday before WED so makes me wonder if maybe decisions might not be tomorrow.
Donāt worry. While I hope you donāt get deferred, my son was deferred with EA2 and didnāt get accepted until March. He connected with some guys through Instagram and Snapchat where one of them had great priority for housing. They ended up in a 4 bedroom in 191 College and loved it. The place was insane.
