No but praying we are- but I am sure it will not be the projected $11K on the website as all the awards seem to be lower than what they posted on the website. But free money is better than no money.
They are currently showing that August 19, 2024 will be the first day of classes. Regular move in is usually the week before, so my guess would be the week of August 12th. Band members & Panhellenic Recruitment/Early Move In is usually two weeks before, so my guess would be the week of August 5th for those students.

Right, they really donāt mean anythingā¦unless for some reason you decide not to log on and pick a room and they have to manually place you. Never heard of that happening though!

Does anyone think there is any hope for money for 29-30 act group? Last year that was 11k but this year the 11 went to higher.

Us as well. Our DS24 loved it when she visited but the merit issue and how they have handled it to date changes things , especially as an OOS applicant
I think there is. When I emailed University Scholarships back in Nov, they said that they were awarding lower level scholarships in Dec. and then February. December ones came out for 31-32 (my son received Heritage merit scholarship) so Iām guessing next round is Charter in Feb??

I have a really stupid question, forgive meā¦itās our first experience with college apps. Do colleges that arenāt planning on accepting you send you Account Setups for their school? Is this a good sign or do they do this with all applicants regardless of status?
How do you mean āAccount Setupsā? Every school is a little different but usually once you apply, yes, they assign the student login credentials and a username and all that good stuff since communication about the application happens in the portal (some send emails, some donāt).

We used common app for all but Auburn. All schools (including Auburn) sent S24 an email within 48 hours to set up a school-specific portal.

My OOS received an email about possibly submitting another 150 word (essay). It didnāt say anything else. We are not entirely sure if that means he is on the bubble / deferred.
Did he do the first Essay at deferral?
Has anyone that was deferred received an acceptance?

He has not received any word on being deferred or accepted. Just this email about adding additional content if he wanted to.

Early decision
Just to clarify, I meant something like your.name@university.edu. Not necessarily a login for the portal but an actual email address associated with the university. We got one this week and one day later my daughter found out she was accepted. Itās kind of a buzzkill but wondering if thatās generally a good sign if you receive an email to set up an official university email.

Happy to report that DS24 was accepted yesterday after having been deferred initially. He reported a higher SAT score, strong mid year grades and a LOCI. Does anyone here have admitted students day event information? Iām sure we will be getting it via email but I wanted to get a jump on it and couldnāt find it on their website. Ty!
