If the “we look forward to reviewing your application” has been gone from my portal for a couple weeks now, is that a bad sign?

Our screen changed just before acceptance.
We were informed he didnt even get distinguished scholars award after attending. That and no I2E I think my son is giving up on Baylor. His 2nd favorite school is really showing him they want him with good merit and a hand written note.

How you got informed “he didnt even get distinguished scholars award” ? kido got admitted in early november, but no word about any scholarship other than I2E.
many majors had DS invite and DS Days already. ours was virtual and at it’s conclusion the kids submitted essays. We just received notification that D24 wasn’t selected.
DS originally was an email and a portal notification.
I2E invites just came out.

My S24 was admitted tonight. 
3.6 GPA, 27 ACT. Normal EC’s including varsity sports and volunteer activities.

Does Baylor only send out EA rejections and deferrals on January 15th or do they send out EA rejections and deferrals on a rolling basis just as they do acceptances?
I just looked back at the thread from last year and January 6 and 7 people were accepted.
Yes, it’s just that the “status: complete” disappeared from my portal a few weeks ago, but I have not heard anything. This worries me, because it leads me to believe that they have reviewed my application and they rejected it.
S24 was admitted several weeks ago, EA submitted 11/1. Was offered I2E. Applied for business and film. This was before he received ED acceptance to his top choice, with some merit. I regret not asking Baylor if they could make any decisions about merit in December as there’s a small chance he could have cancelled his ED application before notification, if he really got a huge merit offer. However it sounds like they really don’t notify before January, so I doubt it would have worked. Baylor was a later consideration for S24 so we didn’t have time to visit this fall, otherwise I sort of hoped it would be a first choice possibility.
Does anyone think they may be releasing some decisions tonight?
They could come at any time, I think. I know that in the past they have pushed up to the EA notification deadline, and I assume that attention is being split between admissions decisions and merit scholarships that are due to be out for ED shortly and EA later this month.
I think that ED scholarships are coming out after 2/1 right? Oh, and good luck to you mcm1!
Historically ED merit has been mid January, and EA a bit later, but still before February 1, which is when the need based aid comes out. For example, merit for ED was January 12, and it January 24 for EA last year.

Could it be a sign of rejection that the status: complete has been gone from my portal for about a month now and I haven’t heard back?
Ours disappeared for about a week, came back, and a few days later we received an email to check portal. Hang in there!!! Acceptances seem to be so random.
D24 just received her EA acceptance this evening.
