I still have not hear back and the status complete is still gone. Seriously thinking I have been rejected
Have you reached out to your admissions officer? Did you apply EA? If so, you should hear within the next few days! Fingers crossed for you!
Yes and yes. Thank you!
Update: I was accepted last night!!!
My daughter received an email that all merit scholarships will be released by Feb. 3rd. Please update us all if you hear anything!! Also, anyone else attending I2E next weekend? We received the agenda today and we are excited!! Coming to Waco from OOS.
My S24 received the same email as did I. However, I received an email earlier today that made a distinction on the merit award dates for ED (Feb. 1), EA (March 15) and RD (April 15). My S24 applied EA and weâd love to hear whether he qualified for any merit sooner rather than later.
We are attending. Coming from So Cal. Canât wait!
Oof⊠3/15 for the EA
The email we got friday (around 5pm pacific) said 2/3
As you begin weighing your financial offers and options, we wanted to update you: Baylor will release all merit-based scholarships by February 3
Did anyone receive an agenda or more detailed information about I2E?
We are attending the February event, but would love to know more about what to expect.
We received an email on Friday 1/19, which is one week in advance of this upcoming weekendâs event. There is an optional reception on Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM and scheduled events on Saturday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Your student must be present on Saturday from 8:30 AM to noon to be considered for the scholarship. The essay prompt was also included in that email and the essay is due the following Monday by midnight.
I got that same email then, minus the essay prompt. I was just wondering what would be taking place on Saturday, not just the time for the event.
Thereâs not a lot of detail about what specifically the students will be doing, except that they will be assigned to a specific academic session from 9 AM to noon on Saturday. The session Iâm assuming is based on their major or area of interest, and will be printed on the back of their lanyard which they will receive at check in. For guests, there are a number of optional sessions to attend between 9 AM and noon on Saturday.
This may be the wrong thread, but canât find a better one to ask question in. I applied to transfer to Baylor from another Texas school in mid-January. Has anyone heard of transfer acceptance? My stats: 3.5 GPA from TX A&M first semester, 3.75 GPA from high school, top 25%, letters of rec are great, 3 years cheerleader HS, several mission trips HS, involved in sorority at AM, active in church. Previously received admission to Baylor for Fall 2023, but went to AM instead. Thx
I saw a transfer acceptance last week on the Baylor reddit, but I donât know when they applied. Thereâs a bit more transfer student activity there, if it helps. I have also seen questions about transfer housing.
Iâve heard of just two transfers being accepted to Baylor within the past couple of days. It wouldnât hurt and could only help to contact your AO to follow up. That just shows how eager you are to be a Baylor Bear! With your stats, I think you will gain admission. Best of luck and do come back and let us know!
Did they announce merit scholarships?
We received an email stating we will know merit by February 3rd.
Can anyone comment on what merit might be possible? DS got a Distinguished Scholars award of $3K per year, which is nice but still puts the cost of Baylor far above any other school heâs considering (itâs the only private).
A while back I went through last yearâs thread to get a sense and it seems like many got $14K/16K/19K per year. A few got $20K/$22K and maybe one each got $25K/$27K per year. Your Distinguished Scholars will stack (and congratulations, because it seems like they donât give out a ton of those). It looks like there were not many (any?) that got extra from I2E, although it seems like in late April, they started making some additional I2E awards (presumably pushing money from people who declined on down the list).
I do not expect that we will receive anything from I2E, because while I know itâs not actually a lottery, it seems generally that there are similar odds to getting anything significant.
My daughterâs merit scholarship was posted in go Baylor today! She got a Distinction Award of $64,000 (16K per year). I would love to know what others are getting!
