Merit scholarships are notified with admission. (The highest this year is $120K over 4 years.) It took about 3 weeks for my daughter to get her acceptance; she applied at the end of October. Invitation to Excellence notifications went out in early December.
Baylor’s official notification date for Early Action is January 15th, so you will know by then.

It’s strange that it’s taking so long. Did he apply test optional? I heard those are taking longer.
He did. Then that is probably the reason. I wonder if none of the test optional EA acceptances have gone out yet. I’m hoping he wont have to wait 2 more weeks. Thanks again.

My daughter submitted her EA application on 10/31. She was actually test optional, but received her acceptance and merit right after Thanksgiving. She received her I2E invitation a few days after that. I’m sorry you’re still waiting. I know it’s hard!

She has a 4.65 weighted and 4.0 unweighted and she received $120k in merit, but it does seem random that some decisions seem to come so much faster than others. I hope your student gets an answer soon! Happy Holidays!
Is your son going for a special major? One that requires a second application?
I’m asking because my daughter is going for aviation (requires a 2nd separate application). We submitted our application EA 10/24 and are still waiting for a decision. But we have received an invite to I2E.

I don’t think there is one, unless something changed. My son was test optional (Fall of 23) and received $48,000 over 4 years. 3.67/4.00 unweighted and 3.82/4.00 weighted. We were expecting nothing, so this was a nice surprise.
