That is when he’s funny, but it annoys me that he treats them all like stupid children, and they portray them all like that.
Well–that sure is not ever going to be me :((
But love the show.
The writers must have so much fun with this. It took me until the next day to realize that after he berated his film students for not bringing a dolly, they improvised by filming the commercial from the stair lift.
Sigh… the season is over. Far too quickly. I love how BCS just gets better with every episode. It will be a very long wait until the next season.
Loved watching “Talking Saul” too! “FRING IT ON!”
I was so sad that it ended last night, and also enjoyed watching Talking Saul afterwards. H is out of town, so I watched the previous two episodes of BCS before the season finale, and will watch the finale again when H is back in town.
The writers/producers have done an excellent job of teaching patience as we obviously have to wait until at least season 3 to find out when and how Jimmy McGill becomes Saul Goodman.
You know, I am so into the current story line that I don’t even care that much about how Jimmy became Saul.
I just watched the final episode – so good!
SPOILER ALERT!
What I like about this series is the unexpectedness. I was so sure that Chuck was going to die after hitting his head in the copy shop. Nope. I was so sure that Mike was going to kill (or at least shoot) Hector. Nope.
And I love that note on Mike’s windshield - DON’T.
I think it is interesting that we know some of the future. It is fun to hypothesize what might have happened in his relationship with Kim and also with his brother.
I almost want to go back and revisit Breaking Bad and focus on Saul.
In general I am not drawn to the story like I was with Breaking Bad. It is moving a bit too slow for me. My attorney friends seem to be enjoying it though.
The slowness is one of the things I like about it – the way the producers take their time with creating thoughtful moments, establishing a mood and a sense of place. It’s such a contrast to the adrenaline-driven Breaking Bad. This is definitely a show that’s putting a distance between itself and its source.
Yes, the surprises are nice (although I suspected Chuck was up to no good in that last scene) and take the story to unexpected places. The one I really relished was Mike’s daughter-in-law lying about her home being unsafe. Mike knew she made it up… but said nothing… just got her out of there. More complexity to this already multifaceted character.
I love the pace of the show and I love Mike’s character – to me, he sort of sucks all the air out of the room when he’s on-screen. But I didn’t think his DIL lied about hearing the gunshots; I thought she was just genuinely mistaken about the sound (which turned out to be that newspaper delivery boy) and afraid. After all, her husband was shot and killed, who wouldn’t be a little paranoid?
And Mike wouldn’t be able to tell her that it was the paper boy unless he also admitted that he was sitting outside her house all night (after she told him she didn’t want him to stay over). Or am I mis-remembering all this?
She may be using Mike - but I think she’s also really paranoid and afraid.
Jesse!!!
(hope, hope, hope, hope this is true!)
Jesse AND the chicken man? I hope this is true!
Gus Fring has been spotted around ABQ.
Just saying’…
Resurrecting the thread because IT’S FINALLY STARTED AGAIN!
I am inordinately happy to see Saul/Jimmy and Mike again.
Yes! But I’ll admit as much as I enjoy this story, I am getting impatient to see when Jimmy becomes Saul.
Interesting… I’m not in a hurry, for me it’s somewhat besides the point. I AM curious, though, whether the Cinnabun Jimmy/Saul is post- or pre- Breaking Bad Saul. Guess we’ll find out at some point.
To those liking dark comedy/thrillers – Fargo is back. In a big way. I LOVE this series.
I want to meet Saul too – but I am more curious about Kim. What happens to her? Why was she never in “Breaking Bad”?
I’m dreading seeing Jimmy become Saul, though I know the showrunners will do it in an interesting way. For me, it marks the moment when Jimmy abandons trying to become the good man that’s inside, and I will be sad.
