Saw this online: with roughly 3% to 10% of waitlisted students often receiving offers, though this varies significantly by major. While thousands are waitlisted, only a few hundred are typically admitted as capacity allows. You will receive a final decision by July 15, and no further action or letters of continued interest are considered.

A friend of C26’s just checked portal and saw a denial (not sure what major), apparently they didn’t even bother uploading a decision letter? Just says denied?

Daughter received email at 5:13pm “your admission status has been updated”. I have access to her email, but not in the portal. She’s in a community college class and won’t be able to check for the next 3 hours or so.
Do you think those that got email today are all for waitlist?
Daughter waitlisted for biological science
UW GPA 4.0, School weighted 4.53 (not sure about Cal Poly recalculation - she has straight As 9-11 with multiple UC honors and AP courses), good ECs.
Admitted UCSC, UCSB, waitlisted UCSD, early admit SDSU, denied UCLA. She has other good options too, so she isn’t concerned, but I sure am surprised - it’s a tough admit!

My son got denied this evening. Kinesiology just said limited number of seats, blah blah blah. Could’ve told him that 2 weeks ago. Really terrible system.

D26 got an email around 2, checked her portal at 5:45 and was waitlisted for Architecture. (I’ll fill out the form in a bit.)
Her friend, also architecture, has still not received an email but checked his portal and was denied (but accepted USC, so 
).

For today’s decisions March 25, there has been a mix of waitlist and denials. One poster on Reddit stated their friend was admitted today while they were denied but no detail on major.

Daughter denied for business. 4.13 GPA. What an utter waste of time and glad we’re moving on from this. Good luck everyone.

S26 was waitlisted today for CS.
He is admitted to NYU, UCSD, UCSB, UCI and UCD for CS.
Curious if those pictures were always on the portal or if someone decided they were good pictures to post with a rejection?

In state, not local.
UW GPA 3.79, weighted CSU 4.13 - high academic rigor.
Whole bunch of great ECs, including earning GS Gold Award & EIC of school newspaper & swimmer.
Oh well, she has other options. But she really wanted to stay in Cali and right now her best options are OOS. Really frustuating.

There is a decision letter for rejection too.
There is no pic like that on S26’s portal.
