do you have the desired courses as well? Good luck to you too!! @90smix
Tired of waiting. Out to Papas and beer, hopefully, when I come back were all excepted
Question for waitlisted students: can we appeal the wait list or we will have to wait until we are denied??
Ok I found out . No appeal until we are denied because we might get in meanwhile. Makes sense. Good luck all
ugh, has no one heard anything back today yet?
Sorry to say but it’s reasonable to assume rejection at this point, especially if someone in your major has gotten in already. Counselor told me this today.
I changed my major to communication but it never updated on my portal, and they basically said that I was screwed WELP lol I’m gonna be rejected oh well, there’s always other schools <3 good luck everyone
@90smix Im curious why are you screwed? had they already denied you before you changed major? Also why not change you major once you are accepted?
If you didn’t get admitted last Friday or waitlisted this week you are basically denied. That’s the CP pattern (past years observation). Even if CP dateline is April that’s when they usually send rejections. Don’t feel bad CP is notorious for rejecting high qualified applicants. Cheers. You’all seem to be excellent students. :)>-
@andy99 is this for all majors? im a comp sci major and havent seen too many (if any?) cs majors posting here about acceptance/waitlist
@rocketrycory your absolutely wrong and clear dont understand the admissions process. ADT students in particularr havent heard back yet due to verification purposes from the JC’s, They are plenty of people who havent heard back yet that will defintely get in. They still have 2 weeks to get back.
Notice how I said that my counselor told me that information. Do you think I want her to be right? Of course there will be some isolated cases of people still being accepted but the majority of applications are MOST LIKELY going to be rejected.
@jinyung2 Keep in mind only a small fraction of applicants post in collegeconfidential. The only CS applicants who have posted are @opvcsocal (accepted) and @ComputerStudent (waitlisted).
Why would they wait to reject you? I mean if people have already heard back that they were rejected more than a week ago. Then why would they wait to reject others?
@Scoobybrew I haven’t heard or seen rejections for transfers so far. The waiting is because of paperwork.
I don’t think any notices were sent out this week. I’m expecting the majority to roll out starting Monday?
That assumption is solely based posts on this transfer thread, which I understand that a very low percentage of applicants are on College Confidential. Past years threads were much more active around the dates starting next week.
As I have stated before most CP departments have done their decisions about who got accepted or waitlisted. The waiting for rejections is because of paperwork and April 1st is the dateline CP has to officially lock its decisions. Last years (2018) decisions took longer because there was a glitch, but this year CP released acceptances and waitlisted early. Which means that rejections are also going to come early this year.
@andy99 Ahh I see, for some reason I thought I had seen people get rejections but after looking back through them it was just people speculating that they were going to be rejected.
@connormcmahon3 oh thats a relief i have an AD-T in math which i listed in app but im going in as a comp sci i wonder if thats what is delaying mine. hopefully! I know my CC has confirmed with me that I am pending status and will receive AD-T status once the semester ends.
good luck to all
