Cc IPad application?

Anyone else having trouble with their CC iPad app? Mine stopped working today. So I deleted it so I could reload it. It will not reload…says it can’t.

It’s not the greatest app on the planet, but I like using it for reading posts. What’s up?

I just have the webpage on my iPad, but the app is still working on my iPhone. Agree that the app needs some work.

Argh! I guess I’ll wait and try again tomorrow!

OK…I finally reloaded the app. Put in my user name and password…and it just closes out of the app…immediately.

Did you restart your ipad inbetween?
I dont use the app, but preferences can get corrupted.
Delete app.
Resinstall & reset.
Push home button & on/off at same time.
Hold down till you see apple logo.

Did just what you described EK…app still closes out.

I can use my browser…but really…something isnt right!

I don’t they are supporting the ap anymore.
I just clicked on a thread on my phone and got the suggestion that I use tapatalk.
( an app for reading bulletin boards)
But since their app has never been that great, I like to use the browser, even though other sites also use tapatalk.
But I see you can add things so maybe I will try it out.

I got that tapatalk message too…I had no idea why!

I posted this in the community forum. You know…lots of folks have iPhones and iPads. If they aren’t supporting the app, they could lose some readers. Plus…might have been nice to get some notice!

Edit to add…they should remove it from iTunes if it really is no longer supported and available for use.

CC for iPad has always crashed a lot. Hard to understand why the App was launched at all. Many web sites are much better just going in through a browser.

This sounds strangely similar to when CC was hacked and users were redirected to twitter and/or facebook.

I have this problem on my iPhone 4S and iPad Mini. Also posted in the community forum.

Hi Everyone - Thanks for all of your patience with the existing CC app. The CC team is very aware of the majority of the issues that you are discussing, and we are taking immediate action within app to make the experience better for you. Many of the issues are due to operating system needs, and the next update notification you’ll receive for the CC app will hopefully resolve these for you. Please look for this update in the coming weeks!

(Also to note, the update will apply to both Apple and Android users.)

Please keep the feedback coming! We are always looking for ways to make your CC experience better.

Bobcat, does this mean that the CC app will NOT be working until the update is launched?

And please…allow older IOS than 6!

Hi Thumper - Yes, you may continue to have the same issues until the update comes out. We’re looking at just a couple of weeks though in terms of the update.

And yes, the app should be fine in iOS 4.3 and up.

Thanks again for your patience. We are anxious to have this resolved as well.

It is no longer working on my iPhone- and it was through yesterday! It just immediately closes.

I’m having the same problem with my iPad app that thumper1 describes. The problem started yesterday, but my iPod app was working fine.

New issue which i already posted on the community and forum issues area…I got a pop up while using my browser on my iPad…has happened several times (EK mentioned this upstream) saying there is an app for CC using Tapatalk. Would I like it? Uh…no.

So my question to the CC folks…is this for real…do we now need Tapatalk to use your iPad app? Or has this iPad app somehow been compromised?

Nice replies in the community and forum issues about this. I don’t know if I’m allowed to post them here or not…so check it out.

I have notice that when I have this problem is not enough to just delete the app and re-install it. I have to delete it, do a complete shut down of the iPhone or Ipad and the reinstall it, otherwise the app keeps crashing.

Deleting, etc did not work this time. There was actually an update issue that caused the problem.

I hope the people at CC release a real IPad app so I do not have to type on tiny screen or 2x size one.
