<p>In any case, shail, an ED deferral is at least better than an RD deferral; I have heard that some schools will only accept absolute shoo-ins during ED and defer others so that they can be judged together with the RD pool.</p>
<p>yes no_novice. I go to Elmira. To tell you the truth this college is not bad at all. The only thing is you cannot get a full ride. But your financial aid will not contain any loan or work study. You can get get upto full tuition which is not bad. I mean $30000. So I encourage you guys to apply here. I’ll have some frens yaar from Nepal which is cool too. And this is in NY state which is close to the city. Colgate is close but Vassar is not. So I cannot really say about Vassar. Colgate is double the size of Elmira but it has a larger student body too. :D:D:D:D:D Apply here people and let me know if anyone is applying.</p>
<p>Is it only my computer or u all are having trouble opening CC. Since yesterday, I have hardly been able to use it. Was it because they were changing the visual style and stuffs? Anyway, nice to see Shail get back to his rhythm (no. of posts). And yes, though maintaining regular contacts with them could help you but I would suggest you to show them some patience. Believe me, I know someone who was rejected after being deferred only because of not showing good patience. Among two Nepalese, the other one who waited patiently (with lesser stats) got accepted later. I’m not sure if that is a good idea in every case though.</p>

I mean not asking them time and again things like when will the decisions arrive, its already late and I need to answer other schools as well, can I do anything else to increase my chances in the RD. Any stupid questions that Im sure u wont ask them. Also different schools have different policies. May be not doing so in some other schools means that u have no interest in them anymore. I was referring to only one example so I might have been wrong.</p>
