Kathmandu University ta haina???

yes Ku=kathmandu university

If you do not get into anywhere, instead of going to william carey, it is better if you come to US for graduate work after attending KU…that would open more doors for graduate schools.

chances are high that everyone has heard of nepali69’s college. only thing those not in contact with him wont know is taht it’s his safety.

how is everyone here??? I hope u all still remember me.lol. anyway Happy Holi to everyone.

Guys
I don’t know what to say “thanx” for discussing my matter or “gohell” for making my case an issue
Let’s see-some college have priority deadline (like non-restrictive EA in good college) and they give us decision even in 2 weeks if we want. But, may or may not be a rolling admission college.
If you apply, I will have to give them 200$ sooner to get an I-20 because they will request me to or they can give my seat to you.
But, many college I have applied will give their decision in late march or middle april.
I can request the college to set back the date on which they expect me to give thaem the deposit but things go to hell if you apply.

And, many colleges have separate scholarship called priority scholarship in which the amount may vary from 200$ to even half tuition in some
If you study my case and the above cases you will find the answers

And guys if want to save money like me then there are associate degree colleges in NY and CA that give huge scholarships and there are lots of Ph.Ds.

Such colleges are not quiet heard here because there is belief that VISA will be harder in case of 2 years colleges
If you can pay then Counsellors won’t stop you

There is difference between community college and associate degree giving colleges.

Tell your brother and sisiters to search one

There are universities like Buena Vista and Newman that offer you lots of merit aid if you get at least 1980. they can even offer you 6500(that comes in I-20) if you have involved in leadership activities. But many of you even don’t look at such unheard institutions.
Go and find one

I didn’t apply to Caltech. The average SAT score is 1530 and mine is far below that

Welcome back no_novice! Were you in a hibernation or what? Happy holy to you too and to everyone else.
My apologies to nepali69 if I have offended you in any way.

Nepali69, do u mean Newman University, Kansas???

and cricster, i wasn’t in hibernation or anything. I was busy with the college application.lol. the rolling ones. I hope it’s a fair enough excuse for my absence here. how have u been these days?? got into anywhere???

no-novice, did u hear from colleges??

nope…except for two rejections :(

from where??? let me know what happened in elmira

Hi!..been off for a while…
y is this thread so much snail-ish??..

It’s not that surprising to be fair…come the first week of april and everyone will be buzzing again…

ya…Decision time…the wondrous time of all…

i was rejected from elmira because of financial reasons…this sounds funny, but they praised my stats n then told that my rejection was only becoz they couldnt give me displayed need.

Really Maichang!!! I am here in Elmira. It might also be because there are too many applicants this year from Nepal. I saw it myself. And the college has full tuition scholarships only for one or two Nepalis a year i think. I think if you talk about your motivation to attend Elmira they might reconsider you…I guess.

thank u buddhaforever, so shud i write them an email explainin them my desire to attend the college…they told that i shud atlest pay 15k n that’s quite discouraging…anyways, lemme try again then…:D

tell them that u can pay that if they are asking specifically, or otherwise u won’t get in…
