We are moving there so if not this year, maybe next.
I just talked to some people at my youth group who applied here. They have both the withdraw and the edit button. The two people I talked to had really low GPAâs/Tests (3.1 or so, and around 1000 SAT). Clemson was their crazy reach school. Perhaps no buttons=accepted, 1 button=deffer, and both still=deny?
I still have the edit term button but donât think I ever had the withdrawal button (donât recall seeing it but could have easily missed it) -if I did have it I donât have it nowâŠWhere exactly was withdrawal button?
It was right above the edit button.
hmmmm interesting-itâs not there but edit term is still there.
i have edit term button, no withdrawal button.
Everyone still has the Update Contact Information button right?
Yes, no changes there.
As a state public school that receives tax money, Clemsonâs required to have more in state than out of state students.
Last year they had just under 10k in state applicants and accepted about half - and half of those enrolled.
Conversely there were 50k out of state applicants and 18k of those were accepted- 2200 enrolled.
Here is a really good breakdown of last yearâs data for those that are interested.
Even when looking at the phone (versus computer)?
PossiblyâŠwe will know on Thursday at 6! I think the one theory that the buttons all disappear is right, but in the order you said could also be accurate. Edit Term button is still thereâŠ
Wow thanks for this info! Reading this info is SUPER discouraging though! If I read it right in state acceptance rate was like 91% and out of state was like 40ish%
91% includes the bridge programs, so the direct admits are much lower
According to Clemsonâs admissions, they shoot for a class that is around 65 percent instate. Article is from last year. Clemson received record applications. Fewer are getting in this fall.
They admit about 50 percent oos to maintain the 66 percent in state ration because yield is lower for oos students. This is true of all public universities, even schools like UVA.
In addition they have a 2% growth goal each year (as the article states) but last year they only had a 1.6% growth and the administration took their lumps because of it. I am friends with a board member so my info is damn solid.
So maybe this year they can do 2.4 growth to make up for the lack of growth last year lol. We need all the spots we can get!
One would think
Not sure about that cap. Last yearâs freshman class was 52% SC residents and 48% OOSâŠ
Thatâs interesting . Those numbers are off from our tour in the summer .
Trying to stay optimistic, but I would find it really strange, given all those who so kindly posted stats and button status, if there wasnât some correlation between no buttons and admission. I havenât seen anyone with really high stats and optimistic of acceptance for whom it remains? Fully expecting a defer here, and not looking forward to the long wait. I have some faith in spring admittance (I know loads of deferred kids who ultimately got in last year) but still. Ugh.
